Story
Here’s a little about Milo: Loves the Beach: Milo has a soft spot for sand and waves—he's always up for a trip to the beach! Great with Other Animals: He gets along well with both cats and dogs. However, he would thrive in a home with one other dog or as the only dog, where he can get all the love and attention he deserves. Playful and Active: Milo is always down for a walk, an adventure, or just exploring the world around him. He loves to eat and will happily join you on any outing! Couch Snuggler: When he’s not on the go, Milo is all about naps and snuggles on the couch. He’s the perfect balance of energy and relaxation. Milo would do best in a home with an owner who can spend quality time with him, providing the love, walks, and attention he craves. If you're looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion who will always be by your side, Milo could be the perfect match! Milo has an adoption fee of $25 but with his adoption we will give you a $50 gift card to PetSmart.

Story
My name is Icicle and I'm looking for my forever family! I'm a black lab mix and would love to have an active household and another dog to play with. I'm doing well with crate and house training, but like all puppies, I'll need continued training to help me ace that! If you're looking for a great adventure partner, I'm your girl! Did you know that when you adopt from the Maggie Society, your new family member comes with two copies of vet records. All Maggie dogs are vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention prior to adoption. Your adoption fee goes towards the vetting of another dog or puppy in need. If interested in adopting, please complete an application. An approved application from The Maggie Society is valid for up to one year. It is not necessary to complete additional applications for dogs or puppies of interest if you have already been approved. Please reach out to the Maggie Society or your adoption counselor for a meet and greet!

*Meet Alissa, the Queen of Snuggles!*   This stunning black and white Lab mix is a true gem, waiting for her forever home. With a heart of gold and a personality that shines, Alissa is the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal friend.   *Her Royal Highness Loves:*   - Snuggling on the couch with her favorite humans - Playing and having fun in the sun - Showing off her elegant crown of flowers (as seen in her gorgeous photo!)   *A Few Royal Decrees:*   - Alissa requires slow introductions to new canine friends, so patience and understanding are a must - She's house and crate trained, but could use a bit more leash training to become the perfect princess - Apartment or townhouse living suits her just fine, as she's a relatively quiet girl (except when those pesky firetrucks drive by - then she lets out a adorable howl!)   Ready to Meet Your New Best Friend? Story
My girlfriend and I broke up and I got to rehome Maggie because she reminds me to much of her, I can't bear it anymore. Maggie is a good dog here's the pros and cons: Pros: - Can hold her pee and poop a very long time, she was always super good with that since she was a pup. - Loves the to cuddle, you can hold her like a teddy bear or if not she will lay on your chest. - Super mellow, can sit on the couch all day and doze or just listen. Never have to worry about her chewing anything up or getting into anything (besides the trash can, I don't recommend automatic lid trash can cause she's smart) - She's alert and a great guard dog, anything suspicious or someone is at the door and she will let you know, highly recommend for people who live in rural areas and appreciate that. Cons: - She chases cats, has never hurt our cats and when she gets up to them she leaves them alone or play bites.

Story
(DOB 06/04/2020) Do you need a dog that gets along with kids, cats and other dogs? Then Pepper is your girl! Pepper loves to be by your side and doesn't really think being alone is cool. So much so, bathroom privacy doesn't even mean much to her. She'll be happy to scratch at the closed door notifying you of your accidental error in judgement.  Pepper would be fine as an only dog or to fill out a household with other friendly pups to be her siblings. She would definitely do best in a home and not an apartment, condo or townhome...those shared walls may hear her beautiful bark more often than they may like. She actually spends most of her day relaxing in her foster mom's office, sleeping or chewing on an antler or yak chew. This shiny black onyx of a girl is good with all dogs, kiddos and kitties!! She has that easy-loveable personality. She is already house trained, crate trained, good walking on a leash, loves car rides and the list goes on. No fence; no worries...Pepper is happy to hang with her people and be a bit of a couch potato! What more could you really ask for? Her deep appreciation for her human makes you feel truly cherished. She will only ask for the same devotion and affection for her in return. She does have some seperation anxiety and being with her people really makes her happy. You can expect some initial barking when she is left in her crate, so someone who is home a good amont of the time is best for Pepper. She is happy to sleep on her bed or snuggled up in bed with you, so that's a great option. Pepper has some cute wrinkles that make her extra cute. She is new to our rescue and is being treated for some skin condition. She is doing well and her beautiful black, furry body is filling in nicely. We are currently checking on her spay status and she will be spayed before adoption. She is going to be such an amazing companion - her foster mom just loves her dearly! As part of Pepper’s $300 adoption fee, he is neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email  Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org.  If you wish to adopt Pepper, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website:  www.pawsforlifenc.org. ##2118344##
