COURTESY POST Meet the sweetest guy, Buddy! He's an 8-10month old Lab Staffie mix who is almost fully grown at 40 pounds. He is friendly, affectionate and loves dogs and every person he meets. He has a beautiful coat with white socks and a white chest. It's almost like he's wearing a tuxedo! Buddy was rescued with his brother (Teddy) from a high-kill shelter and is a wonderful and innocent pup who will bring tons of fun and happiness to his lucky adopter. Buddy would love to have a doggie sibling too! Reach out to Taylor at 303-588-7950 or taylordogrescue@gmail.com if you're interested in Buddy.

Story
Zak Was adopted from the Brunswick County Sheriffs Department when he was around 9-12 months old. We were told that he was found abandon on a property tied up in an shed and flea ridden. We brought him home, he got along with his pet brother Beamer - who is a Yorkie and couple years older than him. Beamer is the only animal he has not shown aggression toward. Zak cannot be trusted around other pets or animals as he will try to attack them. He’s smart, listens well to me and my family. His downfall and reason for adoption is separation anxiety. If he is left alone for 1-4 hours sometime more, he acts out in spiteful ways, i.e. when I travel for work he uses my office as his personal bathroom navigating obstacles and gates. He will knock cushions off the couch, mess up rugs, thrash a neatly made bed, urinate on belongings, and spit food out in parts of the house, knock over his water bowl. Occurs with overnight dog sitters if they leave for a bit, and neighbors checking him daily.

Story
Phoenix was rescued from a neighbor. She was a neglect case that needed immediate surgery when she came to us. She has since recovered and is an active, intelligent and loving dog that would her own home! She plays well with our other dogs, is crate trained and housebroken with a doggie door. She walks well on and off leash. Because she's a little older, she settles nicely when you just want her to chill! Email us for more information!

Story
Hi there, My name is Duke! I'm a 4 year old black Lab/Pit mix. I'm a timid pup which makes my human friends at the shelter believe that some people have not been very nice to me. I'm looking for a different sort of person, one who is very patient with a big soft heart that knows I will eventually warm up to you once I know you wont hurt me. I love going for walks and playing in the water. I'm good with other dogs and need a fenced in yard. Come meet me!

Story
Meet Dax!! Dax is a 2 year old Labrador Retriever Mix. We pulled Dax from Pender County Animal Shelter after looking into those eyes it was love at first sight! Learning that Dax was found as a stray after getting into some chickens (Can we blame him? Chicken is delicious and he was super skinny just trying to fend for himself) He also had pellets from being shot in the leg. So we know poor Dax has not received a fair shot at life yet at 2 years old. If interested in Dax please submit an application or call the shelter 910-259-7022 between 9am- 12 pm

Story
Russel is a very sweet boy that needs a lot of love, patience, and understanding. Russel is high energy and thrives with lots of exercise. He definitely needs a secure area because he is fast as lightning. He is very anxious and cowers when you raise your voice or hand. He obviously was in a abusive home at one time. He is friendly to dogs and people. Russell is very loving and enjoys a belly rubs and long walks. He is crate trained but is still nervous when you leave him, therefore he will need some additional reinforcement to build his trust. Russel will be your best bud if you just open your heart up to him If interested, please call at 973-647-2213 or email maryannm864@aol.com.
