Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Ignatius 'Iggy' Thistlewhite, the fluffiest little bundle of joy you ever did see! This 4-month-old Lab/Golden/Poodle mix is on the lookout for his forever family to share all his adorable puppy shenanigans with! Iggy is a ball of energy who can’t get enough of the outdoors—especially when there’s snow to frolic in! He’s always up for an adventure and loves to explore. But don’t let his playful side fool you, Iggy is also a people lover through and through. If you’re looking for a snuggle buddy, he’s your guy. Iggy’s currently living with a cat, and while he’s super confused why the cat doesn’t want to play tag, he’s very eager to make some furry friends. A dog-savvy cat who’s okay with a bit of puppy energy would be a perfect match for this mischievous guy. He gets along well with other dogs and would thrive with a canine companion to help show him the ropes. Like all puppies, Iggy is still working on his housetraining skills and needs a little help with crate training. He’s not quite a fan of being left alone (who is?), so he’s looking for a family who can be home more often to keep him company. Iggy’s high-energy personality means he’s always up for fun, but he’s also going to need a bit of extra grooming to keep that gorgeous curly coat looking its best. If you’re ready to bring this bouncy, lovable, snow-loving guy into your life, he’s ready to fill your days with puppy love and plenty of laughs!   Iggy is up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, and on monthly heartworm and flea preventatives.  Adopter will be responsible for neutering at 6 months old or vet recommended date. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.  We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions. We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.  Thank you!December 29, 2024, 9:44 am

Story
Beaker is a great middle aged gentlemen that came to us when his family could no longer care for him. At no fault of his own, Beaker found himself in need of a loving home to enjoy the rest of his years. Beaker previously lived with cats and young children, however when it comes to other dogs Beaker is very selective. Beaker seems to prefer female dogs of his size and energy level. A meet and greet at our shelter with any potential canine siblings would be required. Beaker is quite mild mannered, walks nicely on a leash and can be a bit shy at first. Once Beaker warms up to you he loves to play and get the zoomies! Beaker is neutered, microchipped and up to date on shots. If interested in adopting loveable Beaker please call 570 784- 3669 ext 1 or email vicki@nokillarc.org

Story
Beau was found as a stray, very emaciated and in need of emergency care. We took him to an emergency vet and started his road to recovery. Since then, Beau has shown how much love he has to give, how much love he wants and how much of an amazing dog he truly is. Due to his past with a lack of resources, he tends to get protective about toys and food. Beau is a very goofy dog who loves to make people laugh. *Beau has a pancreatic disease and will need to be on life-long medication.*
