Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.PATRICK, the survivor/miracle boy/one who surpassed all expectations—all thanks to YOU for your encouragement and financial support! Three weeks ago, Patrick was found in a ditch on Campbell Highway one leg, shattered, and the other one in need of repair. Patrick is a two-year-old pitbull mix, 60 pounds, friendly and sweet, despite his traumatic injuries. Because of the support of the community, we collected enough funds to fix! He’s not a $6 million man, but he is close! Patrick had his stitches out last week, and has been strengthening his leg by doing what he feels like doing. The vet has told his foster family he has unlimited exercise allowance now, and while he will still want to rest frequently, he is no longer in need of his fentanyl patch or heavy duty pain meds, and now he just needs to complete healing and strengthening. Patrick was neutered at the time of his repairs, and is still working on re-sheathing his male parts. we are guessing there is some nerve damage that has caused an issue with this, but Foster Dad has not given up and feels he has seen improvement. We are considering using a male wrap to help him keep himself clean, and if needed, we can consider further surgery. Let’s give him some time to heal first! Patrick is available for adoption!     PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This amazing boy was brought back to us after he had been adopted last October. Sadly, he was not treated well by his adopter, and he developed a horrible skin allergy to whatever food he had been eating or whatever his environment had been. We have worked for two months to help him overcome the skin infection, and he has finally been cleared by the vet and is ready to continue looking for his new home. Because Bear has been subjected to neglect not just once in his life, but twice, we are determined his next home will be his last, and will be his forever placement. I want to say to the family who adopted him and then allowed him to decline to the state he was in, “Don’t even dare asking us for another dog!”  We love Bear so much! He has fabulous social skills with other dogs, and totally ignores the cats. His foster mom is so excited about integrating him into the household, full of felines! Apply to adopt, but only if you are prepared to give your heart and soul to this boy.   PLEASE NOTE: This pet has been posted by Friends of Campbell County Animal Control, Rustburg, VA.
