Story
Was rescued a little over 3 years ago from abusive situation. He is 4 years old born in December. He has a few needs. He is sensitive to chicken, beef, and pork. And has had issues with ear infections, leading to a previous surgery due to hematoma. Seems to be due to allergies to chicken food. He is skidish, especially with any quick movements. And not great with younger children as he doesn't like big or loud movements. Very cuddly and energetic. He loves to be outside. Ideally looking for someone with no children or older children, someone who is home alot and can provide him with plenty of attention as he doesn't like to be alone, and plenty of outdoor space to spend time outside. He often needs anti- itch medicine from vet and needs ears cleaned 1-2 times a week minimum. He hasn't adjusted well to my 18 month old becoming more active and loud, and now newborn who seems to have an allergy to him as well.

Story
Leroy Jethro is 5 years old. I adopted him from a shelter in Charleston, SC when he was about 5 months. While Leroy has been the best dog these last 5 years he is a little unpredictable with small kids. We just had our first child and with that came Leroy being put away much more than we wanted for him. We just know he can have a better life with someone else and we don’t want to keep that from him. We like to refer to Leroy as an old man. He primarily likes to lay around and get petted. He would LOVE a home where he can be on the couch. He does like toys and likes to play fetch but it typically only lasts a few minutes. He was once leash trained but that has slipped since having a baby and he definitely needs to relearn. He has some trouble meeting new people sometimes but it’s easy to work around. Ideally he’d be in a childless home to a person or people who just want to love on him. He has been the best companion these last few years and we’re hoping can be that for someone new.

This handsome dude is BRUTUS. He came to our pound as a stray, He was chipped but unfortunately the person to whom the chip registered claimed to have given BRUTUS away a month earlier and couldn't remember to whom. BRUTUS is a great dog. He is friendly and loves everyone he meets. He's good with kids and other dogs, but we don't know about cats. He loves to play in the yard but comes to check on us every so often to make sure we don't need help with whatever we are doing. BRUTUS is treat motivated, smart, and keeps his kennel clean.
