Story
Help Abby find a good home! Abby’s elderly owners must re-home her as they are moving to a facility for the elderly. Abby is a curious and loyal 8 year old purebred Lakeland Terrier who has been a good companion. She enjoys exploring outside and napping in the house. She likes daily walks and will need a fenced-in yard or large secure area for daily exercise. Abby would do best in a quiet house with adults, without young children or other pets. Abby has not had the opportunity to socialize with other animals, it's possible with training she could adapt. Abby has demonstrated fear and anxiety around strangers who come to the house, resulting in barking and agitation. She will need training on how to reduce anxiety around people who are not part of the household. Abby has occasionally had accidents in the house. It has worked well to use gates.
