The application is the first step in the adoption process, so if you are interested in adopting please fill out the online adoption application first by visiting our website at www.dachshundpaws.org Ozzi, born 1/6/2024, is a 7 month old Mini Dachshund. Ozzi is a gorgeous black and tan Mini. Ozzi was purchased as a puppy by a family. They had another dog, but she was a tiny micro mini. As Ozzi got bigger she was too much for her. The family did not socialize Ozzi well as a puppy, so he had some issues meeting new people and new dogs. Ozzi has completed an obedience course, to gain socialization and confidence. Ozzi knows all basic obedience, recall and leash manners. Ozzi does show some resource guarding. He attaches to his people and feels it’s his job to protect them. He needs to be reminded that he isn’t the boss or the supreme protector. Ozzi needs a Dachshund experienced home. He has the typical stubborn Dachshund attitude. Ozzi is so sweet and loving once he feels comfortable. Ozzi is good with other non-dominant dogs his size. Ozzi needs a home with no small children. He has not been cat tested, so we will not place him in a home with cats. Ozzi is crate trained and he loves his “bedroom” (his crate). Ozzi is an amazing pup, looking for an equally as amazing family. Ozzi’s adoption fee: $700We do not have a kennel or facility to visit, all dogs are kept in foster homes until their forever homes are found.Adoption Process: Once an approved application is on file, we will then set up a home visit. At that time we will bring the dog to the home in which you will all be sharing. We ask the entire family to be there that day. Story

Marilyn and her siblings were born on January 18, 2024. Thet came to us after receiving a plea for rescue to save them. The puppies have been raised with our rescue and are happy, healthy, playful and social little puppies. We are not sure on the parents but by their looks and size they look Spaniel, Chihuahua? These sweet pups are looking for their forever homes. Because of their small size no small children or large breed dogs please. As always, we do highly recommend positive reinforcement training to insure a well behaved and well-rounded puppy/dog. The adoption fee is $650 which includes: spay/neuter, microchipping with registration, up to date on vaccines, rabies vaccine (for dogs and pups over 4 months at time of alter), deworming, and topical flea treatment application (as needed). Delicious and his siblings were born on April 30th, 2024. Their mom Candy Crush is a Dachshund mix and was very pregnant at a high kill shelter. We rescued momma just in time as she gave birth the next day. The puppies have been raised with our rescue and are happy, healthy, playful and social little puppies.
