Story
Meet Travis, a big and brave man! Travis is a Great Pyrenees roughly 4 years old and about 90 lbs. Travis would thrive in a home that is experienced with large working breeds. Travis LOVES people and is so sweet, loves to be brushed and affectionate with his human friends. He is one loyal dog and loves a job to do, he much prefers clocking in than playing fetch! He spends most his time outdoors, although inside is always available to him, he much prefers outdoors where he can roam, sunbathe and protect his property! We do believe in the right home he can transition into an indoor dog with LOTS of exercise, walks and a yard to still get his outside needs that are important to him. Travis has had a lot of interactions on the farm with many different animals like dogs and farm animals. He does show protective behavior, which is not uncommon for his breed so again, an experienced owner with large working dog breeds is preferred to make sure a smooth transition into a new home potentially with other animals goes as best as possible! A lot of rescued animals require patience and care when transitioning to a new home. If you have any specific needs or questions don't hesitate to reach out and we are glad to help you make your decision on adoption. Travis could potentially be a foster to adopt situation as well, if you are not ready to jump into adoption but would like to share your home with Travis to help him experience home life please reach out to us! Story
We adopted bucky as a 6 week old puppy from a rescue in NC. He is about 1 1/2 years old now. He has been a great dog for the most part. He is very loving and affectionate. He loves walks and being outside. He is great with other dogs and also cats. We also have a Pyrenees lab mix and they love to play. We now have a newborn and unfortunately Bucky is just too big and unaware of his size to trust around a newborn. He needs room to run around and other dogs to play with. He is not an apartment sized dog. He would do great on a farm or in a big back yard. I would not recommend to those who have small children. He is up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. He is leash trained and crate trained.
