Story
Meet elegant little Demi! Demi is a petite and very affectionate medium haired kitty that loves her bunny soft hair to be pet and once she trusts you will let you hold her. She enjoyed her early kitten-hood as a pampered indoor only kitty until her owners had to move and left her behind leaving her confused and scared of the new outside world. Fortunately, a caring neighbor feed her and brought her in during the storm and she is now in search for her new forever home while being lovingly fostered in St. Petersburg. Demi displays unique kitten characteristics that are similar to a beautiful breed of cat known as Norwegian Forest Cats or a Wegie. They can be recognized by their triangular shaped head with a strong facial profile that is long and straight from the tip of the nose to the slightly rounded forehead (other cats have more of a square muzzle and pronounced nose but she has a very straight nose indicative of the Wegie). As the name suggests, the Norwegian Forest cat comes from Scandinavia. It is very likely that the ancestors of the Norwegians were semi-longhair cats from the Middle East. They arrived in Scandinavia around the Middle Ages on Viking boats as mousers. Demi’s coat is thinner and semi-long haired like their ancestors and not thick and full with a heavy undercoat, making her more suitable to the Florida climate. Also, like a Wegie, she has large, almond-shaped eyes, set oblique with an alert expression. Unlike a Wegie, Demi is petite and not muscular, which could be from her young age (thought to be between 12 and 24 months) or recent stress of being discarded from her former home. Demi is fully vaccinated, spayed, microchipped and ready for adoption now! Demi is very people oriented and not friendly towards other cats and would need to be the only queen of her castle only because she was likely an only kitty prior and isn't at all used to being around other cats. It is unknown if she would do well with a polite dog, but probably not. If you love the exotic look and personality of the Norwegian Forest cat but are mindful to adopt and not shop and want to save a life instead of contributing to the over population of cats and kittens, then Demi is the kitty for you! Her adoption donation is $150 and you can set up an appointment to visit her in St Pete Florida by submitting an adoption application at CJPAWS.ORG/ADOPT Please follow us on Facebook where you can message questions via messenger. 100% of adoption fees directly support CJPaws, a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue headquartered in St. Petersburg, FL where we are dedicated towards improving animal welfare in our community. Our mission is to provide compassionate care to homeless cats especially those who are pregnant or injured; by rehabilitating them and ensuring they find loving forever homes while promoting responsible pet ownership. Our rescue is 100% run by volunteers, and we are 100% run on donations. We do not receive any grants from the government or from any private organizations. We are able to keep operating and saving animals because of donations from people like you. If you would like to help us continue to save animals, you can donate, foster, and adopt! ** To apply, please go to our website, www.cjpaws.org and visit the Adoptions page. Or copy and paste into your browser: http://www.cjpaws.org/adopt/ *** It can take up to 24 hours to respond to your application and an additional 1-2 business days to have your application approved. Not all applications will be approved. Applications that are incomplete will not be approved. Please include all veterinary information, as we will be contacting your veterinarian. Our non-refundable adoption fee covers spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, monthly flea medication while in our rescue, any medications while in our rescue, an FeLV/FIV test, and the unconditional love of your new family member. Our rescue does not continue to pay for flea medication, vaccinations, deworming, or any other medications after the animal is adopted. All costs and fees accrued after adoption are the responsibility of the new family.

Story
Qui Gon is a very silly orange cat. He is very small for his age only about 10 pounds but no matter how much i feed him he wont get fat! We started fostering Qui Gon and Jar Jar in Washington from some family friends but they ended up getting divorced and split. Now we have five cats who 2 don't like the other 2. Qui Gon needs a home where he is the star of the show. He needs a caring and attentive owner, I cannot provide what he needs with 4 other cats. Currently, Qui Gon and Jar Jar stay in my room while the other cats roam during the day and at night its switched. However, this is not ideal and not fair but if i don't i have constant fights breaking out. Qui Gon can always be found with his brother Jar Jar. We got them together and they always are playing together. Qui Gon is very shy but can quickly warm up once he realizes you are friendly.
