Maine Coon kittens & cats in Southern Pines, North Carolina

This big handsome boy was found in the neighborhood. We had him neutered and realized his potential and that he was very worthy of a great home. We have been letting him live inside, but this is a big adjustment for him. We have taken him to two adoptions but he is very uptight there, so we hope we can find him a wonderful home by placing him on line. He is the sweetest boy and has the calmness and great temperament of the Maine Coon. Forest is so calm around other cats and not at all aggressive. He is also wonderful around humans, and when he s used to you, he will give you head bumps consistently. He would make an excellent companion, he just needs the reassurance that it is safe inside the home. I was adopted 5 years ago to my family. My family did complain about me to the rescue from time to time saying my ears were dirty or my skin had issues. After a long while though it was something else. So the rescue is taking me to the veterinarian to begin from there. Im really a very sweet boy, just a bit shy. Im a Maine Coon love though when Im used to you. I feel my surroundings may have contributed to some of my behaviors, but we will know for sure. For now, Im decompressing with my foster and doing fine. Im neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, defleaed and microchipped. I adopted Dottie in 2020, she is a Maine Coone mix, great cat, very calm and affectionate. She takes a little while to warm up, like most cats. She gets along well with our dachshund and 18month old. Has never scratched or bit, and is good with the litter box. She is around 7 yrs old and 10lbs.

Dawn (dob 2/1/22) is a friendly, sweet girl. She has an adorable underbite that enhances her cuteness. She's been to the Kitten Lounge, but it was a bit too active for her lifestyle, so she's back with us in her own special room for adults. Dawn loves to chill out and relax with the other foster cats and would love a buddy to hang out with in her new home. Let's get her one where she can be spoiled! Update: 3/12/24 Dawn was brought to the vet for a follow up exam due to a skin allergy. It was determined that she has a food allergy and was put on a no fish, corn, soy, or wheat Chicken and Rice formula. She is doing well and will need to stay on a similar diet. Up to date on age appropriate vaccines, deworming, flea prevention, spayed, microchipped, and Felv/Fiv negative. First time pet owners, a personal reference is required. Must be over 21. Stan (approx 1 yr old) is a big boy! Very affectionate, warm and charming! He will take a bit to get to know you and another feline. He is hanging out with Dawn and Panda (both females). Stan (already neutered) was dumped along with Star (who was pregnant) at a cat colony. They kept trying to get into the owners house, but she is elderly and was recovering from cancer treatment. The family brought this pair to us to find forever homes and we were surprised that Stan tested positive for FIV. He's a healthy, robust boy with a LOT of love to give.
