Story
Winston is a pure breed Main coon cat. Very smart and loving. He likes to play fetch, go for a walks, chase his mouse toy, and watching squirrels from the window. He is 1y 10m old. He is 25 pounds, and still growing. 3 1/2’ long, so he is a big cat and he needs space. We got him from the breeder as a kitten, and we used to live in the big house. Due to circumstances we moved to the apartment, and my daughter got asthmatic symptoms. Unfortunately we have to find a new loving home for Winston. Every morning he comes to me and lays on my chest, purring and cuddling. The best match for Winston would be a family with the house, grown kids. I don’t know how he will get together with other pets, no experience, but he is generally very friendly cat.

Chai-Chai is a very sweet cat. She loves to play during the evenings and sleep close to you at night. She can be alone for long periods of time but is very loyal and social with her owner. She’s beautiful! She needs someone who is sensitive and loving. She knows what “no” means and is very receptive to training. She is shy at first but will warm up if you give her Tuna:)

Story
Purry Mason is a curious little kitten with the cutest, most inquisitive face and a zest for playtime and exploration. This fluffy boy started his life out on the mean streets and was found and brought inside by his foster family as a teeny two week old baby. They quickly discovered how much Purry loves to eat, and with lots of TLC, he graduated from bottle feeding to eating kitten food on his own and he hasn't stopped thriving since!Purry's hobbies include climbing, romping, jumping, chasing toys, meeting new friends, and being professionally adorable. While he's not on track to pass the bar exam like his namesake, this kitten is one smart cookie and we think he could win over the toughest judges around. Purry Mason will be happiest in a home with another cat friend to play with, whether that's another kitten pal or a resident cat who can show him the ropes!  We don't DNA test our kittens. Most cats and kittens in the US are a mix of breeds and we suspect the same is true for Purry Mason. He looks like he might be Maine coon mix (or other longhair mix). Either way, we know he's 100% cute!  Purry is too young to be eligible for a full adoption. However, he is eligible for our Foster-to-Adopt program!  Foster-to-Adopt Program Details We are an all-volunteer, foster-based, non-profit organization We don’t have a physical location; all cats and kittens live in foster homes until they are formally adopted. Our foster-to-adopt program allows us to match cats and kittens with their forever family before they’re eligible for adoption. Eligible cats and kittens are placed in a foster’s home with the intention of adoption after required medical care is completed. Foster-to-Adopt foster parents are required to schedule and bring their cats(s) and/or kitten(s) to veterinary appointments at the Animal Medical Center of Richardson as needed.  Foster-to-adopters must meet all of the eligibility requirements RHS has for adopters.  Cats and kittens eligible for our foster-to-adopt program must pay a $50 non-refundable deposit at time of drop-off that will be deducted from the animal’s adoption fee of $125.    RHS Adoption Process and Requirements Meet the Adoption Criteria. Before you do anything else, make sure you meet our adoption criteria. You must be at least 21 years old. You must live within a 60-mile radius of Richardson, Texas. You must share veterinary records for all pets currently in your home and all pets owned in the last five years. All pets in the home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on vaccinations and on a flea/heartworm preventative. If you rent your home, you must provide verification that pets are allowed on the property. You must be willing to be interviewed by an adoption counselor and you must undergo a home visit by an RHS representative. Phone Interview. Compatible applicants will be forwarded to a counselor who will contact the applicant for a phone interview. Home Visit.  If all the steps above are completed satisfactorily, we will coordinate a virtual home visit. We’ll request you send videos/pictures of your home to verify it is safe and welcoming for the cat. Meet and Greet. Once your home visit is complete, we can coordinate a time with you and the foster parent/s to meet the kitty you’re interested in.  Complete Adoption. If all feel it is a good match, we will schedule the adoption at your home or an off-site location. The applicant will need to complete the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fee is $125 for cats, and payable by Paypal, Venmo, cash, or check. Discounts are available for senior-aged pets. ##2121380##

Story
Kitty was abandoned at our apartment complex in November of 2024. She is not chipped and no one has come looking for her. We showed her affection on our way out the door and she immediately followed us and made herself at home. This cat is one of a kind, the nicest most affectionate cat I have ever met. Financially and time wise we cannot give her the home she deserves. We work a lot and we only keep her so that she has a warm bed to sleep in during the winter. This cat wants to be in your face and will rub her head against yours. Love to sleep on our chest and play with her toys. She loves to go outside and be held.

Mr. Darcy was previously adopted to a loving home, where he thrived alongside other cats but felt overwhelmed by energetic dogs. Story
Meet Olive! Olive is a sweet and gorgeous girl born in 2018. Olive was surrendered by her owners after kids came along Olive spent her days hiding in fear of the noise and chaos. They felt she would do better with a calmer home. Olive is shy at first and very sweet. She will need a patient adopter who can give her the time and space she needs to relax. She is playful and likes cat nip, to chase feathered wand toys, and to hang out in her tunnel. She does well with other cats when properly introduced and has excellent litter manners.
