She is a precious 6 month old maltipoo mix. Libby is the sweetest little girl who, like her brother, is very people focused and attached at the hip. She is very much a velcro, lap dog. She will follow you everywhere she is working through some separation anxiety. She can coexist well with other dogs and cats with the right support and has been playing more and more with the other dogs as she has settled in. Libby is initially timid and a bit afraid of the world. She would do best in a home with someone around a lot to help her gain confidence and continue with slow exposure and positive experiences with new people and things. Senior dogs need help! This sweet family is hoping for a miracle. Their mom has entered a permanent nursing home for Alzheimer’s. Unfortunately, her family can not care for the dogs and are searching for a place for them to go. They've reached out to multiple rescues, but no one is able to help. We are their last hope before they go to the shelter. All of the dogs are seniors, and its highly unlikely they would make it out alive. We need fosters or adopters asap. The Chihuahua is named Girlfriend, and she is actually the mother of the other dogs! Mo is the black dog, and Lily is the white dog. If we can find fosters, we will have them seen by our vet and groomed. They're low maintenance and quiet. They love to take naps and sit in the sun. Once they warm up to you, they'd love to sit next to you and cuddle. Girlfriend, Mo and Lily are a little scared and shy right now, which is understandable given the situation. JENNY--Help needed JENNY is in need of sponsorship in our sponsorship program to pay for the remainder of her extensive veterinary costs. We are raising funds for all of her diagnostic procedures--Xrays, Ultrasounds, CBC, Urinalysis--for her extensive dental work, and extraction and suturing of six very bad removed teeth, and for her bladder stone removal surgery, JENNY is a Maltipoo, a Maltese/Poodle cross. Jenny is 8 years and 10 months old and weighs about 15 pounds. She is a cream and white color, and she is also hypoallergenic! JENNY is very intelligent and inquisitive. She is housetrained, sweet, gentle, playful, loving, affectionate, a lot of fun to be with, and not destructive. Dogs like JENNY also require regular ongoing grooming maintenance to prevent dangerous matts and tangles in the fur which can cause serious skin damage. SAMANTHA – Help Needed-Currently Sponsorship SAMANTHA is a Maltipoo, and a little larger than a Maltese. She is good only with cats who are used to dogs as she will want to play. She is fearful of dogs larger than herself or are aggressive even in a playful way, so should never go to a dog park. She is not that good with lively, active children or young teenagers. SAMI is around 8 or 9 years old and we saved her from the pound in pretty run-down condition. Currently, before being adoption-ready, she needs a complete blood count and urinalysis, quite a few tooth extractions with sutures, and a deep cleaning of all her teeth and gums. She also needs surgery for a mass that needs to be removed but is not malignant (biopsy was done). She has had a complete exam which is how the mass was found. SAMANTHA has a cute little underbite and loves to cuddle and play with her toys. SAMI is spayed, and current on her vaccines. SIMON – Help & Sponsorship SIMON is a Maltipoo. A very sad story.... his mom lost her house due to foreclosure and brought him into the city shelter. She was crying and he was crying when she left him there. He was with his human mom since he was a small pup and is very sweet. SIMON is not so good with children or young teenagers. He has a little pink on his nose, loves to be held, and he needs a calm environment. He is very sweet, but very shy and timid. We have discovered that, like so many small pups abandoned at the pounds, Simon has not had any veterinary check-ups—possibly ever—no tooth exams, anal or ear exams, or blood panels or urinalysis done. So he needs lots of veterinary work and diagnostics. He is neutered however and current on his vaccinations. Marcel is good with other dogs and cats. He rides nicely in the car and likes to be your little buddy. He is very quiet and has possibly been debarked. He is a very gentle treat taker and an excellent napper. Marcel has been fully vetted (including bloodwork and fecal test). He has a heart murmur requiring one medication twice a day, and a small right eye which he cannot see out of. He has very limited vision in his left eye. Marcel finds his way around just fine. Milky Way is a chocolatey dream of a dog. He is so kind and gentle, and his favorite pastime is sleeping. He will head to the first bed he comes across and then he goes nighty night. Milky Way is 12-years old, weighs approximately 23-lbs. and has limited vision but gets around great. He is good with other dogs, kids and cats and rides nicely in the car. We love this quiet senior and know that you will too. Milky Way is house-trained, pee pad trained and walks nicely on leash. This stunning senior gent has been fully vetted (bloodwork, fecal test, etc.) and neutered. He's also had a badly needed dental and oral fistulas repaired.
