Every bit as sweet as her name, easygoing 18-month-old Candy is 15 pounds worth of sugar and spice and everything nice! A well-mannered and affectionate little lapdog, this mellow miss loves cuddling and snuggling with her foster mom, resting her head on her, and accompanying her to her office twice a week where she also loves greeting everyone she sees. Friendly towards the small, similar-sized and larger dogs in her foster home, Candy enjoys wrestling and playing games of tug-o-war with one of them, and gets along wonderfully with children of all ages. Fond of all treats, she likes tennis balls, stuffies and rope type toys, going for rides in the car, and is motivated by love, toys and food. As these are still early days, she seems to only know “come,” is never crated and is working on her housetraining skills. Candy does need a lot of help learning to walk on a leash so, for this reason, she must live in a home with a fully fenced yard. With much yet to learn and much love to share, this snowy white sweetheart will sweeten the lives of any patient and loving family that will complete her training, including her commands, and keep her in cuddles fur-ever. Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $600. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
