Story
Calli is an absolute sweetheart and thrives with attention from other dogs, adults, and kids. She would live to be a lap dog. Unfortunately, we have not been able to devote enough time to her and she's not getting what she deserves. She has not mastered holding her bladder and will go if she needs to, but does also potty outside on a leash. She is crate trained with a puppy pad inside. Does well with baths and haircuts. Easy to handle, does not beg or steal food. She needs someone who can get and keep her on a strict routine, at least until she can adjust and be fully outside potty trained. Someone who will want to cuddle her and let her follow them everywhere! Her hair is currently cut short to be easily manageable, so she'll be free of mats/tangles and ready for more regular grooming to start.

When I first came to Act2Pups back in October of 24 I was pretty shy. Today I enjoy other pups at rescue. My shyness was due to spending a lot of time in boarding before I came to rescue. I was a little reactive to getting picked up but my groomer didn't have any issues, as you see in the photo. I enjoy being petted and I'll sit on your lap so I've got a cuddle gene in me! Patience will be the key word when interacting with me, and it will be well worth it because I'm a loyal little fellow. I'm almost 9 years old so I've got a long future ahead. I'm ready, won't you give me a chance.

I came to the shelter as a mess with a large swinging tumor under my leg. I am now cleaned up...my tumor was removed and was benign and my dental left me with just a few teeth. I'm older at 14 and quite petite at 5 lbs but I do love to eat.. I'm ok with other older pups too. I would love to have a warm safe retirement home and you will be repaid with so much love.
