Eve, Female, 7 years old, black and tan, Manchester and Min pin mix, Shelter Survivor. Eve busted out of jail (the shelter) and is now looking for her forever home! She starts off skittish and scared but will warm up and play...especially with other dogs (she is shown in photo #3 with her buddy "Manny". She is crate and potty trained as well! Eve will require someone that has an enormous amount of patience... it takes a long time for her to come over for petting. She won't bite, but she is just afraid of people. She LOVE LOVE LOVES dogs. We have not cat tested Eve, however, we have seen her around a very small fluffy chihuahua and she seemed a little too interested in wanting to chase her. We do think she has prey drive and we think she may chase cats and bunnies. To be clear... Eve is she is great with dogs but very shy/scared of new people. She takes a while to warm up to you for you to touch her. She doesn’t bite. She is actually very sweet once she trusts you. However, if she does get scared she will try to “run” so you have to be aware that her response to fear is to run. She needs a secure house and yard for this reason. She is still a work in progress and will need a dedicated and experienced dog person to give her the chance she deserves. She is sweet, beautiful and an all around pleasant girl. Eve's ideal home is one with patient, predictable, calm humans and a secure YARD. Perhaps a good doggie to mirror and learn the ropes at your home. Story

Hudson is an 8 y/o miniature pinscher mix (with a curly tail!) who has been in our home for the last 7.5 years. He's a very active, playful, loving dog who is always down for a game of fetch or a long walk. Throughout our time with him, we've been able to work around some innate boundaries and triggers he has that make him a bit sensitive. He has an eye condition affecting depth perception, and as a result he doesn't like to be approached with sudden movements, which could result in him snapping, and he sometimes barks at moving objects such as some cars and skateboards. We have managed his behavioral issues well with training upkeep and exercise, but we simply aren't able to provide the home and structure he needs after expanding our family last year. Our toddler is absolutely loves him, but she is close to walking and won't able to understand his boundaries. We've decided it's best to find him a new home so we don't need to keep them separated. HENRIETTE-URGENT-Sponsorship: Henriette is awaiting life-saving specialty surgery or radiation treatment (preferred) to remove a tumor on her thyroid gland. It is not malignant but causes an extremely high thyroid count. If it is not removed Henriette will die. Our regular veterinarians won’t do the surgery and have referred us to several specialists to do this very delicate surgery or equally delicate radiation which will cost $12,000 to $14,000. Even with an added 15% rescue discount, it is more money than we can ever raise. We are seeking help! We have no funds left. We have spent nearly $2000 for all her diagnostics—specialty ultrasounds, blood panels, cardiology assessment at MASH, urinalysis and other needed tests, medications, holistic treatments and supplements which we hope will help until we are able to raise the funds necessary for her urgent procedure. Henriette is also on expensive "Just Food For Dogs", human grade food, is fed several times a day, and gets a whole host of supplements and vitamins. Donations can also be made directly to the veterinarian and The Nature Network Inc., a 501c3 non-profit, will provide a donation receipt for tax deductions. We rescued Henriette from the Orange County Animal Shelter, where she was out of time and living her final days. Henriette loves her doggy playmates and they would miss Hen terribly if she died. Henriette is spayed and current on her vaccinations.
