Meet Rockie! Surrendered after his owner passed away, Rockie is trying his best to figure out the world without his family. He's a six-year-old Manchester terrier that weighs around 50 pounds and is looking for a quiet, caring place to call home. Rockie is currently spending some time in a fabulous foster home where we are learning all we can about this lovable boy. Rockie is house-trained and hasn't had a single accident in his foster home! Though he hasn't been crated, he's done well staying in a gated area. While Rockie currently lives with another laid back male dog, we think he would prefer be a solo pup or perhaps live with a smaller female dog. He will need to be fed separately if there is another dog in the home. Rockie doesn't seem too food motivated, but does enjoy some treats in his snuffle mat. He is an absolute rockstar on his leash and enjoys his daily walks. Rockie needs to build his confidence up for riding in the car but we think with continued practice he'll improve. Working from home? Rockie is the best coworker! He is content to chill during the day, cozying up on a nice comforter or dog bed. When the day is done, Rockie sleeps quietly through the night. Based on our evaluation, we feel Rockie would do best in a calm, predictable home with adults ages 16 and up. He would most likely prefer to be the only pup, but may do well with a female dog. He has seen cats from a distance and doesn't seem to have the tendence to chase, so a feline pal may be an option as well.
