MEET GOLDIE, a beautiful & young Mastiff in need of a foster or forever home! Goldie is a 1-year-old girl and is still a big puppy! She already weighs 90 pounds, and will likely put on weight as she grows up.She was rescued from an overcrowded California shelter. Goldie is a sweet, gentle dog. She is slightly shy, especially with men, but very affectionate once she gets to know you. She gives big kisses! We do not know too much yet about how she is with other dogs, because she caught a doggy cough at the shelter. But given her gentleness, we are expecting she will be good with other dogs, and we will test her soon. She would do well with a single person, a couple or a family with older kids. Meet Christopher Robin!-2 year old intact male Boerbel mix (breed is simply a guess!)-Weighs around 100lbs-Came into the Shelter as a stray so we do not know about his life before the Shelter -Observed to enjoy walking on leash and has some good leash manners-Leans in to people when being pet-Has met other dogs at the Shelter and can be selective in his canine friends. May do well with a resident dog but required to meet prior to adoption-Can be reactive on leash/behind barriers to dogs-No history with cats or children-Would thrive with an adopter that has XL breed experiencePlease note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
