Story
Ru has had a really hard go in his life. He was owned by a homeless man who didn't teach him manners and he was often loose in his neighborhood. Unfortunatley, Ru was part of a bite incident when he was roaming free. Due to that, he was taken to the shelter where he sat for a YEAR. When we got him out of the shelter, he was SO excited to be free. He has the funniest zoomies and adores playing with toys. He does need to learn some manners as he is a bull in a china shop when he gets really excited. We have had Ru in play groups wiht big dogs and he is a rough player, but he loves to play and could run for hours. Ru will be a great dog for someone willing to excercise him regularly. He will be your best buddy and is beyond loyal.  If you are intersested, or want more information, complete an adoption application and give us a call.  Thank you for wanting to adopt from Hank's Legacy Foundation. Story
This mixed breed likely has a bunch of genetics in the mix- weimarainer and mastiff might be in there- but it’s just a guess. Shes just over a year old, so she’s got loads of puppy goofy bad-coordination short-attention-span energy to her. She’s a big girl at approx 74 lbs, and a lot of enthusiasm to her, so humans need to be prepared for her initial excitement at the start of every walk. She has a ton of empathy- super curious at all times and very worried when she heard other dogs reacting to things. Shes incredibly sweet girl-a little overstimulated in the shelter- who enjoyed playing with toys and almost kinda sorta brought them back every time. She thought drinking water out of the hose was a really fun activity too. Once we got to know each other, she was a fan of getting pats and scratches and hanging out on the bench with me. I was so happy to get to spend time with Ruth and to see how fabulous she is. I hope the right humans come along and discover her soon- whoever it is will be so lucky to have a wonderfully sensitive, silly, big goof in their life.
