Story
Meet Chuck Norris (knows Groot), a 5 year old Shepard mix weighing in at 75 lbs. Chuck is one of the most well behaved, sweetest foster pups I’ve brought into my home. And he’s great with kids! Chuck does wonderful free roaming the house when I am not home and does not need to be crated. Loves to explore the neighborhood on walks and does well on a lease. Is generally a laid back, quiet dude. House trained.  Chuck was returned for not getting along with a boyfriend’s dog. We recommend keeping Chuck as your one-and-only based on past reactivity to other dogs. Unknown with cats.  August 20, 2024, 12:46 pm

Story
George is a 173 pound 4.5 year old English Mastiff who is a very sweet boy with his people. He is happiest on a couch or bed watching tv or just chilling, and loves laying/sitting where he can see outside. He likes women and kids, but is a little slower to warm up to men. His favorite chew toy is a deer antler and he does great in the house if you leave him out. He is not destructive other than the occasional stuffed animal. George takes prozac (licking behavior) and apoquel (itching) daily. He takes his meds like a champ in a pill pocket or with peanut butter. He would do best in a home with big dog experience as an only dog. A fenced yard would be ideal, although he is not overly active, but has some small prey drive. He attended  a 3 week training program and is pretty good on a leash.  All of our dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, microchipped and if over 6 months of age, heartworm tested and on heartworm preventative in their foster home. We require an approved application to meet any of our dogs. We do not have a shelter location and will not arrange a meeting without an approved application. We strive to make sure the bios provided for our dogs are complete and accurate; we do understand that mistakes happen, however, so if you absolutely cannot find the answer to your question in the dog's bio, you can contact us for more information. We require a home visit for each dog we adopt out, so we adopt within a 2 hour radius of Dayton, OH. If you are outside of this radius, we encourage you to contact your local rescue or shelter.   August 19, 2024, 10:55 pm

Story
Meet Zay! She’s a 1.5 year old mastiff mix with the squishiest face ever (she’s also the aster of RBF). Zay came to us completely shut down, defeated, in a constant state of fear. After lots of confidence training, she has come out of her shell and absolutely loves to play with dogs, totally ignores cats and even enjoys taking treats and pets from humans. Zay is potty trained, crate trained and has been through several weeks of obedience training in addition to confidence building. She’ll come with training for her new family and the tools that have helped her “dog”. Zay would do best in a home with a social dog to tag along with. Story
Looking for love and a great home. Garnet is a super sweet big lug of a mastiff.  Garnets house burnt down December 27, 2022 and he was so badly burned no one was sure if we could save him.  We felt really bad for him and his owner, so we cared for Garnet while getting him well. It took 6 months of horrible pain stacking medical Care. He is great now but he will be scared for life but looks great.  His owner rebuilt and wanted him back.  Now she has decided it would be better for him for us to find him a loving home.  He is truely a very special guy.   Garnets date of birth September 17, 2020. Garnet is fawn with a black mask.  He is up to date on vaccines, on heartworm prevention, micro chipped with Home Again  he is well enough to be neutered and that happens on 11-28-23. We do not have any pictures of his after he was healed as good as he gets. We lost all  the pictures but we have pictures of his long six months of Recovery.  If you have room in your heart and home for this sweet boy or any of our other wonderful, beautiful babies please email Miracle House Animal Rescue and we will send you our adoption questionnaire: miraclehouserescue@gmail.com. We are located just east of Cincinnati, Ohio, out Route 32, in Brown County. We work by appointment only, after you are approved.
