URGENT; This is Panther and he was on Death Row in Lousiana before being rescued and brought to Coming Back Home Rescue. Panther had a sister but she was adopted at the kill-shelter. He was then adopted out. A SUPER sweet dog that's just looking for someone to let him live out the rest of his years. However, his adoptive home (now) in New York (was adopted in Ohio) brought him back after human error led him to escaping an unlatched yard and going after a cat. The adopters are in a panic since there is a cat in the home. The outdoor cat belonged to an ACO that lived next door. Despite the fact, the ACO had nothing but nice things to say about Panther. "I (Rep) spoke with him (ACO)... The ACO said that this was super minor and he's not upset or threatening at all about it. That this is common and that Panther would never be like euthanized or anything like that over it. He talked about the fact that most dogs would do this. And he said that even with a dog getting out and killing another dog the judge just says "just safely secure your dog better".. He also said that Panther lets that puppy climb all over him and just lays there and takes it... said that Panther is a super sweet dog." The adoptive home ended up getting two puppies after him which caused him to act out in a puppy manner but once the environment is calm, he is as easy as can be. His previous foster (in Louisiana) said he was just the easiest dog they ever had and even commented on Panther's original urgent post. He's now back at the rescue that is way beyond capacity in a foster-based system which will leave him mostly crated. They don't want him in that position! Humans have really let this dog down and the rescue is doing everything they can to make sure he'll be comfortable when he arrives later today. Please help us an adopter. Beautiful Tri-Pod looking for his forever!- Finn was found as a stray in East Cleveland and his leg was pretty much dead/sloughing off- he was non-weight bearing and was taken to a local Emergency Hospital for evaluation- his outlook was bleak; he would be euthanasized unless rescue stepped up and Remi's certainly made the call. We took him to our vet for another opinion and the leg was not able to be saved; it was amputed within hours. He is now fully recovered and ready to find his furever family. Finn is a wonderful young gentleman and gentle is his middle name! He takes treats gently. Don’t let those three legs fool you! He is an energetic young boy with miles to go! He loves to run and play with his foster brothers. Finn loves to play tug a war and play with squeakie toys. He is not destructive and is learning to be well mannered. Finn knows sit, No and will come when called. Finn is still learning how to walk properly on his lead but is doing much better than when he came in. Say “pen” and he goes into his pen willingly. Finn is currently working on going in and out of door manners. Sitting and waiting before released to go outside. He’s doing very well on this command. Need a couch buddy? He’s your man! Finn is very much a cuddle bug. Finn just needs a lifetime family that will continue to love and care for him. He is made to be your best friend for life!
