Story
Hey everyone, I'm Bubba, and I'm on a mission to find my forever home! Life started rough for me as a stray, but I'm ready to bring joy and excitement into a new family's life. I'm just about a year old, so I've got plenty of energy to burn! Toys are my jam, though I have to admit, I might be a little reluctant to give them back once I've got 'em. I'm a big fan of butt scratches and love rubbing up against you like a cat - it's my way of showing affection! I'm no slouch in the brains department either - I'm eager to learn new tricks and show off my smarts. Plus, I've made some great doggy friends here at the shelter, so I wouldn't mind sharing my new home with another furry buddy. Oh, and did I mention I'm a giant goofball? Life's too short not to have fun, right? I'm a strong boy, but don't worry, my friends here can show you all the tricks and tools we use for walks - I'm a quick learner! If you're looking for a playful, affectionate companion who's always up for an adventure, then look no further. Reach out to my friends here at the shelter, and let's arrange a meet-up. I can't wait to show you what a pawsome addition I can be to your family. Ready to make me a part of your life? Story
Jolly ol' London ACCT-A-171572 is a 3-year-old lady wot came in as an owner surrender on 15/8/2024 'cause of some skin issues they done noticed 'bout free weeks ago - also the blighter wot's been takin' care of her all this time had to pop off to 'ospital, and they don't allow mastiffs in them waitin' rooms, innit? While hanging fire in't chock-a-block shelter, London done her best to keep calm and carry on, pipe down and get in the queue for a quick trip to rescue, but gor it's bleedin' tough, innit? Them blokes 'round her just need to give a bird some space sometimes - it's a lot to go frough when you lose yer 'ome. Jolly ol' London's down for a mini break here in the shelter, but wot's really her cup of tea would be a nice, easy, soothing stay with a rescue wot knows how a mastiff thinks. If that's you, then blimey, ring us up. Cheers! Behavioural notes: Per a shelter bloke on 16/8/2024: Took London out for a trip to the play yard. Found her seated in the far corner of her kennel, where she looked over at me with large eyes and sideways glances. She was uninterested in treats tossed over to her side. I closed the guillotine door and went over to her side, crouching down with the door closed. She was standing, sniffing, and presented at the front a bit more curious but still hesitant - large eyes, sideways glances. Leashed without issue. Walked well through the kennels and outside - pulling only occasionally. Throughout, her anxiety and stress levels appeared elevated: she appeared as though she was searching for something or someone, displaying some exit-searching behaviors (e.g. patrolling fencing), becoming more alert near the parking lot (looking out at the cars, ears and posture up). She didn't direct much attention to me on the walk or in the play yard, only once circling round and sidling up to me while I was crouched and taking photos, offering me a lick on the face and accepting a gentle pat on the head. Otherwise she was exploring, sniffing, getting her bearings. She remained aloof for a couple impromptu dog meets we did while returning to kennel: lip-licking; averting gaze; not sniffing the other dogs, but allowing them to sniff her; retreating after 10-15 seconds. Did not pee or poop throughout the walk. No issues returning to kennel. BEHAVIOUR EVALUATION (15/8/2024) : KNOWN HISTORY: Owner surrender KENNEL PRESENTATION: London was on the backside of the kennel curled up when I approached. She stood up and glanced at me and then retreated away to the other side of the kennel. I went to the side she was now on and lowered the divider. She retreated back by the divider and appeared nervous. I was able to lasso her with the leash easily and she needed a bit of leash pressure to exit the kennel. LEASH SKILLS: Pulled Minimally, but is strong when she wants to be HANDLING: London was nervous in the room at first but warmed up quickly. She had a neutral body, was trembling, neutral semi soft eyes, and was panting heavily. She would flinch at handling attempts at first, but with some time she eased into it and allowed me to pet her head and back. She was neutral for handling and was very tolerant, giving no issues when petting her at all. No interest in treats at this time. PLAY: No interest TOYS: No interest COLOR LEVEL & ANY RECOMMENDATIONS: Blue Per her owners on 8/14, London was described as: having lived with big dog, small dog, kids; selective toward togs; nervous toward strangers and children; has a history of displaying separation anxiety. Medical notes: During an intake exam on 15/8/2024, shelter blokes noticed: Severe, chronic ear infection evident, strong yeast smell, dry, scaling, thickened skin. Teeth have some staining, tartar Patchy hair loss, dry scaly skin, interdigital cyst between digits 4,5 on LF, swelling on toes Female intact, large amount of loose mammary tissue BAR, tolerant of handling Videos: Virgo and London: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRpKTxEusfc Walking with London pt 1 https://youtube.com/shorts/V9Uvz9hqDg4?feature=share Walking with London pt 2 https://youtube.com/shorts/P0YsuRNTV3A?feature=share

Introducing Zinnia, a captivating female Mastiff mix who will leave an everlasting paw print on your heart. This beautiful girl has an unwavering love for people. Her warm, soulful eyes and wagging tail are the embodiment of happiness and she never misses an opportunity to shower her favorite humans with affectionate, sloppy kisses. Zinnia has enjoyed quality time in a foster home where we learned she is the perfect houseguest! When it comes to playtime, Zinnia is a natural talent. She enjoys fetch and loves to play with toys. Her energy and enthusiasm make her the ideal companion for those who enjoy an active lifestyle. In the home, she is a model citizen and quite the couch potato! She plays quietly with her toys, loves to relax poolside, and has no separation anxiety when left home alone. Zinnia is fully housebroken and has already mastered some basic commands, a testament to her intelligence and eagerness to please. Zinnia is dog friendly and enjoys the company of smaller dogs. Her best friend at SAVE is Peekaboo. Cats are not recommended.
