Story
Kiwi is a 4-year-old mastiff/bully mix. She is a sweet and wonderful girl who needs to be in a home without any other animals or young children. She tends to chase cats & prefers being the only animal to be loved. She is looking for a family of her own and would do best in a home where she will be able to get exercise to help her lose some weight. She loves to fetch the ball or sticks & can do this for hours. She is super sweet and loving with her humans, but does get a bit protective of them. You will need to understand that kind of behavior.
She has the most beautiful little eyes and pittie smile & loves belly scratches and getting cuddles. She is wonderful on walks and doesn’t pull with an owner who is confident, even if she’s very strong. She is exceptionally loyal to her humans and great with new people, in the car and at the vet. She is a bit nervous with fluffy dogs in particular & should not be with other dogs unless under supervision with experienced handlers. She is not the type of dog to start the fight, she simply retreats.
Kiwi is as gentle as they come. She’s incredibly soft and cooperative, always willing to go along with whatever is needed, even when she’s a bit uncomfortable. Whether it’s putting on her winter clothes or taking her medicine, she remains calm and patient—always ready to please. She is a sweet, submissive companion who loves to be by your side. She’s so gentle and kind, making her the perfect addition to any home. Despite any discomfort, she handles everything with grace and a loving heart. If you’re looking for a calm, soft, and loving pet to share your home with, Kiwi is your girl.
Kiwi is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and sterilized and will come with her medical booklet.
Sometimes a dog takes a little more time to open up, you may see them showing more and more of their personality over the course of the first few days, weeks or even months. We don’t know all that they’ve been through before they were rescued, but they are so forgiving and full of love and it’s worth every tough moment in the end. Developing a trusting relationship with your rescue dog is the most important thing. Stability, patience, positive reinforcement and love are the most important things!
Kiwi est un mélange Bully/Mastiff de 4 ans. Elle est une douce et gentille fille qui a aimerait une maison sans autres animaux, ni jeunes enfants. Elle cour après les chats et préfère être le seul animal à être aimée. Elle recherche une famille où elle pourra faire de l'exercice afin de l'aider à perdre une partie de l'excès de poids excédent en courant après la balle où baton, ce qu’elle peut faire pendant des heures. Elle est aimante et colleuse avec ses humains, mais elle devient un peu protectrice envers eux et aura besoin de parents qui comprennent ce genre de comportement.
Elle a les plus beaux petits yeux et sourit comme les ‘pitties’. Elle adore se faire gratter le bedon et recevoir des câlins. Elle est superbe en promenade et ne tire pas avec un propriétaire confiant, même si elle est très forte. Elle est exceptionnellement fidèle à ses humains et s'adapte parfaitement aux nouvelles personnes, en voiture et chez le vétérinaire. Elle a un peu peur des chiens aux poils longs en particulier. Elle ne devrait pas être avec d'autres chiens, sauf avec des maîtres expérimentés. Elle n'est pas le type de chien qui commence la chicane, elle se retire simplement.
Kiwi est très douce, coopérative et toujours prête à accepter tout ce qui est nécessaire, même lorsqu'elle est un peu mal à l'aise. Qu’il s’agisse d’enfiler ses vêtements d’hiver ou de prendre ses médicaments, elle reste calme et patiente, toujours prête à faire plaisir. C'est une compagne soumise qui aime être à vos côtés. Elle est gentille et veut plaire ce qui fait d’elle, le complément parfait à n’importe quelle maison. Malgré tout inconfort, elle gère tout avec grâce et avec un cœur aimant. Si vous recherchez un animal de compagnie calme, douce et aimante avec qui partager votre maison, Kiwi est la fille pour vous.
Kiwi est vacciné, micro-pucé, vermifugé et stérilisé et viendra avec son livret médical.
Parfois un chien met un peu plus de temps à s'ouvrir, vous le verrez peut-être montrer de plus en plus sa personnalité au cours des premiers jours, semaines voire mois. Nous ne savons pas tout ce qu’ils ont vécu avant d’être secourus, mais ils sont tellement indulgents et pleins d’amour et chaque moment difficile en vaut finalement la peine. Développer une relation de confiance avec votre chien de sauvetage est la chose la plus importante. La stabilité, la patience, le renforcement positif et l’amour sont les choses les plus importantes
