Story
I’ve been lucky enough to have my homie Draco by my side for the past six years, ever since I brought him home from a local breeder in Milwaukee. We’ve shared so many wonderful moments together, but life can be challenging, especially with my demanding schedule as a firefighter. Unfortunately, Draco's behavior when I’m not around has created some difficulties for my girlfriend. Making the decision to find a new home for him is incredibly hard for me. Draco is such a loving and affectionate dog, always craving cuddles and attention. He has a laid-back personality, but he can also be a bit stubborn at times. He truly adores kids and gets along well with other dogs, which is why it breaks my heart to even think about this. I want what’s best for him, and I hope to find someone who can give him the love and care he deserves.

Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We encourage you to select your new companion by considering each dog's individual personality and pet qualities instead of relying on a breed label that is only a guess.March 6, 2025, 1:45 pm

Story
Looking for a gentle giant to complete your family? Say hello to Duke, an adorable two-year-old Mastiff mix who's ready to fill your home with love and joy! This big-hearted boy has so much affection to give and is eagerly waiting for his forever family to come along. Inside the home, Duke is already a model citizen in many ways. He's fully house broken, comfortable in his crate, and absolutely adores being around his humans. Like many young dogs his size, he's still growing into his massive paws and personality. Duke would benefit from some continued reinforcement of his basic manners - he's quite strong on leash and gets so excited during playtime that he sometimes jumps up or gets a bit mouthy when his enthusiasm takes over. Duke would thrive with a family who has previous large breed experience and is willing to invest some time into his continued training. Due to his size and exuberance, we're looking for a home without children under 10 years old. He's not trying to be rambunctious - he just doesn't always realize how big he is! When meeting new dogs, Duke can be a bit unsure of himself initially and can be slightly reactive. The good news is that after a quick, proper introduction, he does wonderfully with other canines, especially female dogs. He does get excited around toys and food, so clear boundaries are important. Surprisingly, this big boy LOVES cats and would happily share his space with a dog-savvy feline friend! If Duke sounds like the perfect addition to your family, please contact us today. This lovable boy can't wait to meet you and show you just how much love he has to give! To ask about Duke, please contact us directly by calling 847-338-3252 or emailing info@redemptionroadinc.org. _____ See what's new with our rescue including updates on our animals and upcoming events:  https://lnk.bio/redemptionroadinc Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/R4inc/ Instagram: @redemptionroadinc Our trainer's Instagram:  @fullcircledogtrainer March 6, 2025, 9:43 am

Story
Heidi is hilarious! We can't get enough of her antics. She will fold in half to cuddle. Apparently, the best way to lay on the couch is to twist yourself upside down. Heidi is a pro at self-entertaining too. She can throw her toys for herself in the yard and catch them in the air. She's an independent lady and don't need no human to throw her toys. But not actually, please come play with her. That's more fun. And also smoosh her face and tell her she's pretty while you're at it. When you're done, you can throw on a show and snuggle with her on the couch. When you're at work, no problem. Heidi is happy as a clam in her crate. She'll relax and chew her bone while you make money to fund her jolly ball obsession. Don't forget to grab her some treats on your way home too. She's not picky, but she does expect some thought put into it. Enough to show her you care. Heidi is loving life in a foster home, but she is ready to find her forever any day now.
