Story
Say hello to Birdie, a delightful and affectionate canine companion ready to steal your heart! This sweet pup is a master of charm, greeting everyone with a wagging tail and gentle demeanor. When it comes to treats, Birdie takes them with the utmost care, showcasing her polite manners. She's a dream on the leash, walking with grace and ease by your side. Birdie's playful side shines when it's time to chase toys or balls, although she may not always retrieve them. However, her eagerness to learn is evident, and she seems to catch on quickly to new concepts. If you're seeking a loving and responsive companion who enjoys both leisurely strolls and spirited play sessions, Birdie is the perfect addition to your family! Birdie should do fine in a household with children given proper adult supervision. We are unsure of how she is around feline friends. Birdie should do fine with other dogs in the home given proper introductions and time to adjust. Birdie is a 2 year old Mastiff mix. She is up to date on her vaccinations, microchipped, (soon to be) Spayed and currently weighing 49lbs. ***If you are interested in adopting please start by filling out an application available on our website and email it to us. https://www.couleehumane.com/adopt-an-animal

Story
Handsome-boy Tonka needs a miracle. Due to a drastic change in his owner’s life, Tonka finds himself immediately in-need of a new foster and/or forever home. We know this is a big ask…as this BIG boy has quite a few specific requirements…but we are hopeful that his gorgeously giant smush-face will capture someone’s heart *just* enough to prompt them to give him a shot/bring him home!  Tonka’s details: 6 years old Is a mastiff/bloodhound mix Dog-friendly (Tonka LOVES other dogs! He actually tends to warm up more quickly to humans if there are other dogs around, and would prefer another dog in the home to romp around and explore with. He has done wonderfully with every single dog he’s met! ).  Does ok with dog-savvy cats. If the kitties don’t run, he does just fine…however if they do run, he will chase/terrorize them! Rides very well in a vehicle!  Is extremely loyal, loving, mellow, and snuggly. Fully potty-trained Loves to lounge, is incredibly smart, and doesn’t chew on anything he shouldn’t.  Tonka’s home requirements: Tonka’s #1 setback is that he has “stranger danger.” He is NOT a dog who’s able to be immediately approached by new humans. Therefore any introductions with him need to be slow and proper (no staring, no sudden behaviors/quick movements, no reaching hands toward him, no pets until he’s ready…& REALLY good treats!), with a calm, understanding, and patient demeanor. It can take anywhere from 30mins to several days for Tonka to fully adjust to new people…but once he does, you are “in” with him and he is SO faithful and SO loving! His person will need to be his advocate, as any/all encounters he makes should strictly follow the above guidelines. NO kids! He has a protective nature, and children come with more commotion + more noise. Therefore a kiddo-free environment is a must.  Much prefers females over males. Tonka’s past – before rescue – could’ve definitely held some misuse by a male figure in his life. He undoubtedly gravitates toward women, so would thrive with a single, confident female. Otherwise a couple [with a very patient male] could also prove to be the perfect placement! Toys and treats (especially if they include peanut butter! ) aplenty are a MUST! If living in town, a fenced-in, private yard is a necessity. He will react to/bark at (& has quite the BIG bark!) people walking by…and so quiet, country-living would be most ideal. More than anything, Tonka yearns for LOVE! If you show him compassion and earn his trust, he is amazing beyond measure! If you’re willing to give him that chance, he promises to return that love for the rest of his days.  APPLY HERE: https://newleashdogrescue.com Tonka is an eligible foster-to-adopt candidate, so please private message us with any interest/additional questions ##1983835##

Story
Fiona is a 100-pound bundle of love, just waiting to find her forever home! With her gentle giant demeanor, she's sure to capture your heart. Here's a bit more about this wonderful pup: Loves People: Fiona is a true people-person (or should we say, people-dog!). She adores spending time with her human friends and will shower you with affection. House and Crate Trained: Fiona is a well-behaved girl who is both house and crate trained, making her an excellent addition to any home. No Small Children: Due to her size, Fiona would do best in a home without small children. She may forget her size when playing and knock over a little one by mistake. Mastiff/Big Dog Savvy: Fiona needs an experienced owner who understands the unique needs of large breed dogs, especially Mastiffs. She can be a bit forgetful about her size and manners, so gentle reminders and guidance are essential. Dog Selective: Sweet Fiona is dog selective when it comes to getting along with her furry companions. She does not appreciate when other dogs are in her space and not respecting her boundaries. She tends to get along better with males. If you're looking for a loyal and affectionate companion who will lean into your heart, Fiona might be the one for you! Don't miss the opportunity to provide this big-hearted Mastiff mix with a loving forever home. If you're interested in adopting Fiona or have any questions, please fill out an application at www.tailsofhopewi.org. Let's find Fiona the loving family she deserves!

Story
Are you searching for a loyal and sweet companion to add to your family? If so, look no further. My name is Chanel (my foster parents call me Nelly). I am a very loveable girl who has a yearning to find my forever home. I love to go for walks on my leash. I know my commands and sit when it comes time for treats, I will even shake your hand for one. I am house and crate trained when my humans are away. I currently have a foster doggy big brother and I play very well with him and even share toys. When I am not playing with my brother or my foster humans, I enjoy the downtime snuggles on a lap and really love having my ears and belly scratched or I do just fine lounging in my bed. I hope you are looking for a gentle affectionate companion like me and I look forward to meeting you and giving you all my love.
