Howdy from Texas, we are Willie and Waylon, 5-year-old Dachshund/Chihuahua mix brothers left behind at a veterinary clinic when our owner could no longer care for us. We were taken in by a lady who fosters for 4 Little Paws Rescue and we have settled in nicely. Since we are not a bonded pair we are looking for our own forever homes and hear the Easter Seaboard is the place to be! I’m Willie, and I’m a sweet and happy little chap weighing in at just 9.9 lbs. I’m curious and adventurous and make friends easily with people and other dogs. I enjoy being active and playful, going for walks, and taking rides in the car. I’m well-behaved, rarely bark, and I potty outside. I know how to sit for a doggy treat but can barely contain myself I get so excited! I play some with doggy toys, but mostly enjoy snuggles and pets, cuddling beside you or on you, and being held in your arms. I’m a little loverboy, easy to live with, and easy to love. I hear many wonderful families on the East Coast would be happy to have a sweet little dog like me, so I can't wait to meet them and get my life started! * 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. Howdy from San Antonio, Texas! I am a handsome dark red Dachshund with some dapple genes giving me one blue eye and a bit of white pattern on my ears. I am about 3 years old, weigh 12 lbs and I am grateful to be free from a horrible life. I was kept chained in the backyard so I wouldn't escape. Chained! And I’m not talking a little chain. I’m talking about a big chain maybe meant for a pitbull. Thankfully my owner didn't want me so I was surrendered to 4 Little Paws Rescue and you have never seen a happier little Dachshund! I was running zoomies at my new foster home for almost the entire first day! Inside and outside, I couldn't sniff enough things, couldn’t run through enough rooms, couldn't get enough pets, and couldn't give enough kisses! I was free of my chains and starved for affection. These days I have settled into a nice routine living indoors with air conditioning and only one thing could make my life any better… being someone's forever dog. I am a sweet boy and I’m friendly with everyone. I greet the other foster dogs with some friendly barks and a wagging tail, but I haven't started playing with anyone yet. I think I like dog toys but I’m not sure what to do with them. I’m well-behaved, potty outside, and I just learned how to use a doggy door. I love going for walks and I am thrilled to go along for a ride in the car. Mostly I am thrilled just being loved and cared for, living indoors, spending time with my people, and getting to snuggle in a cozy dog bed whenever I want. I’ve now been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, so I’m ready to be adopted.
