Story
Bruiser is roughly 3 years old. He's been a great companion for his older brother, but I have been having work/time issues with keeping up with his training. I will also be moving and I can only have one dog unfortunately. I adopted him new years day of 2024, I've worked hard on building his confidence getting home kennel trained, and pretty much house broken. He definitely came from an abusive home prior to me as it took me over a year to get him to be confident. He is super loving. And deserves a home that can give him all the attention he needs. Ideally in a relaxed environment. I just feel terrible I have been neglecting time with him. He does well with other dogs, cats ..... He likes to chase them but is not aggressive towards them, kids...... Not sure. Things he is working on: sudden movements, loud voices. He is a timid dog in general but warms up to a person after he feels he's safe. He loves toys and really loves to cuddle.

Story
Remi is a 6 year old, 12 lb, Miniature Pinscher blend who arrived as a stray. This adorable little girl is house and dog door trained. She has excellent leash manners, knows basic commands, such as "sit," and is working with volunteers on additional commands. She does an adorable little dance on her front legs when she's excited. She's an excellent passenger and enjoys car rides. She likes to snuggle and will tuck herself in to your bed at night, since she knows how to lift the covers, without any assistance. She enjoys running and playing and will need a home with a yard and a fence, at least 6' high (she can clear a 3' fence with room to spare and scale a 5' stucco wall). She is currently residing with one of our amazing foster homes and will be at the adoption center on Saturdays from 10am-4pm, or you may email Debbie@AzFriends.org to schedule a weekday meeting. No appointments are necessary and you can come and see us any time we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form – this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo, without knowing the personality of the animal. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first home that meets the dog or cat that we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a-2p, Wednesday 3p-7p, Thursday 3p-7p, Friday 10a-2p, Saturday 10a-4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).

Cocomelon and his brother and sister were born in our rescue from a Min Pin mom. We think the father was a Border Collie we were told. All his shots and neuter as well as microchip are included in our Puppy Adoption Package. He has been handled by small children. He should be only 25 lbs fully grown based on his 10.5 week old weight of 5.2lbs!
