Story
Meet Lefty!Lefty is a spirited 10-pound Miniature Pinscher puppy with boundless energy and a personality that will light up any room! He’s always curious about what’s happening and can’t wait to get outside to play. This sweet boy has a playful streak a mile wide, especially when he’s romping around with other dogs. While Lefty is full of life, he’s still a little shy when meeting new people and can be nervous in unfamiliar situations. Because of this, he needs to go to a home without young children(12+). He absolutely loves treats, which will be a big help as he works on building trust with humans and learning basic training. Lefty is a smart pup, but he’s still figuring out that the world isn’t so scary, so he’ll need a patient home committed to socializing him and introducing him to all the new things he hasn’t experienced yet.Lefty is looking for a loving family to help him gain confidence and become the amazing companion he’s destined to be. Could you be the one to help Lefty on his journey?- - - - -Before being rescued, many of our dogs have had limited socialization, so they may need a bit of time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog`s individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!

Story
I'm 4yr old Miniature Pincher and I embody my breed characteristics with my big personality. I will make you laugh with my deer like prance and spontaneous dancing and hopping when I'm happy. I will always let you know what's on my mind and I have a great sense of time. I know when it's time for breakfast and dinner but I enjoy a slow morning and I will stay quiet in my crate for an hour before breakfast. I need to be burrowed under a blanket or in your sweatshirt a lot of the day. I am a fearless little guy and I do not see my size slow me down. I am athletic and robust, so I run fast and rarely get hurt. I am loving, intelligent, charismatic, easy going, but anxious around large dogs and small children. I do not like medium to large sized dogs but I do like small ones, especially if they are even smaller than me. I might do best with no cats. I do not feel comfortable around children or babies. My ideal forever home is a home with no small children or other dogs unless they are a small dog like me. I'd love an owner(s) who is not gone a lot and able to walk me once or twice a day for just 15-30 minutes. Also someone who loves to cuddle with me. I would love to go on errands so I can people watch and curl up in my human's sweatshirt. I will need someone who will be patient with my barking (I am doing well with training so I am getting better). We can continue to train! My adoption fee includes a training program / class specific to my needs.
