Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Linda is a beautiful pup! She came to us from our owner surrender program when her owner was moving and could not take her along. Linda is a sweet little gal. She is a little timid with new human friends but she warms up nicely. She will alert bark at home when someone comes to the door. If it is a family member or person she knows, Linda is quite friendly and affectionate. She is housebroken but uses pee pads sometimes if the weather is very cold or if left alone too long. She is also crate trained and likes her crate. She loves warm beds and blankets but isn't into toys. Linda is OK with other dogs but takes a few moments to get to know them. She lived with a chihuahua in her original home for several years, and currently lives with another pup in her foster home and does great ... she is definitley the boss though. She will be fine with most dogs but probably would not appreciate puppies or very playful dogs that get in her face too much. Linda is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Her adoption fee is $300. How to Adopt Me! Story
** Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea ** Meet Leeju👋 She was found on the street in South Korea at just 2 months old and sent to a high-risk city shelter along with her four siblings. Luckily, she was rescued right before euthanasia by the rescue team and sent to her foster home 2 months later. Her foster family has been taking good care of her since, and she’s been living peacefully with the resident dog. LeeJu is now more than ready for a furever home! • Personality: Friendly, Curious, Cautious LeeJu is such a friendly and lovable pup with a curious and cautious personality. Her energy level is mid-low as she mostly chills in a kennel at home and prefers to have light walkies mainly for the bathroom. • Affinity with - Dogs: Super friendly with other dogs as long as they are not too large or aggressive. She doesn’t respond to barking dogs as well. She currently lives with a resident dog in her foster home, so she will be a good fit for a family with other furry companions. - Cats: Good with cats. - Adults/Kids: Good with both adults & kids. She is calm even when kids pet her. • Walking Manners: Well-mannered! • Housetrained: Fully housebroken, mainly using the bathroom outdoors but sometimes indoors when she can’t go outside. • Bathing/Brushing: Very good. • Car Rides: Not anymore. She got better at car rides. Her foster tries to walk her for potty before jumping into the car. • Separation Anxiety: None. • Barks/Howls: A little bit towards continued noise from outside the house. • Appetite/Food Allergies: She likes any sort of food! / No food allergies. • Likes/Dislikes: She loves being petted on her face while snuggling up to your side! / She feels cold easily due to her short coat. • Shedding level (1~10): 5-6 If you have an open heart and a loving home for Leeju, please don't hesitate to apply!

Story
CAPE MAY COUNTY. NJ: Looking for a happily ever after? Find it now: Adopt & fall in love with smarty pants PRINCE! Little Prince is 5 year old miniature pinscher mix and 28 lbs handsome boy who, despite his name, has not had a fairy tale life. Sadly, Prince was surrendered to the city shelter when his owner’s children were reportedly abusing him. For a small dog who had never known much kindness or love, Prince is incredibly smart with a large repertoire of tricks (stay, sit, go, down). His adorably large ears must make it easy for him to hear commands! Prince likes to go for walks, has a medium energy level, and gets along with other dogs. All in all, Prince seems like a very good boy who grew up in a not-so-good environment. A normal, calm home with positivity & love makes Prince the most wonderful companion. He loves to hang out in the sunshine with his people and all of his foster fur siblings. Between his previous home and the chaotic city shelter, Prince has never known what it’s like to feel safe and loved before his foster home, where he is truly blossoming. Because of his past trauma, Prince should not be crated and may be a bit shy, but is easily won over with a little patience - and some treats - and then develops a deep bond to his people, becoming affectionate and trusting them implicitly. Prince is neutered, up to date on shots, micro-chipped and ready to begin his new life in a loving forever home! Can you open your heart and show Prince that sometimes dreams really do come true? He would really appreciate his happily ever after - with lots of happiness to share with his new home! If you can adopt dear Prince, please contact AmsterDog at 917-689-8414 or info@amsterdog.org for more information, or apply to adopt (or foster-to-adopt) Prince at AmsterDog.org. And thanks for caring about a pet in need!

Toby would like lots of toys in his forever home!  9 years, 17 pounds of squeakyness, he would be a great only dog best friend. Ok with other dogs but not a buddy.  Toby is very sweet and funny; also affectionate, loves being close to his person. Toby came to rescue with a little weakness in his back leg. He has no pain, walks just fine, can do 2-3 steps. Toby enjoys exploring in the yard, short leash walks. He's had a recent dental cleaning, is so ready to meet that very special person who can open their big heart to him. Fostered near Philadelphia, PA. Adoption fee $175. www.longdogsrescue.org/application

Story
Lady -  2 yrs, 16 lbs, Chi/Min Pin, Spayed  This dog is eligible to join our foster-to-adopt program. Please email fostertoadopt@socialteesnyc.org with the animal’s name in the subject line if you are interested! Want to straight up adopt? Submit an adoption application at socialteesnyc.org. Thier Foster Parent Says: "Lady is a super special girl. I was initially told that she has a hard time in new places, but she has adjusted incredibly well and warmed up so much with patience & care. She’s calm, affectionate, and playful. She’s house trained and has no separation anxiety at all. Lady is a little picky with food, but she loves yogurt, chicken, or salmon with her kibble. She can also get quite territorial (can bark at guests/TV) and hasn’t fully grown out of her teething phase. However, she’s an extremely fast learner—adjusting to be super confident and well-behaved on walks within the span of a few days. At home, she loves to play but also can also be the perfect lapdog; outside, she loves exploring and will happily come along on walks and adventures. She will always greet you at the door when you come home, or follow you around the house to give cuddles & kisses. Lady is the sweetest girl with so much love to give, and I hope she finds a home with as much love to give back to her." Level of dog ownership experience needed:BEGINNER: This means we predict this dog will be low on the challenge scale due to its breed/age combo. Potentially a good fit for someone who has relevant dog care experience (fostering, dog sitting) and is looking to adopt their first pup. Energy level MEDIUM: Needs a daily 60 minute walk or window of quick paced exercise (minimum) in addition to potty break strolls (10-30 min each). Also needs significant socializing opportunities outside the home and mental stimulation at home like tricks training practice, chew items, and puzzle toys. (This is regardless of dog size – many small breeds were designed for lots of activity and will exhibit unwanted behavior when they’re understimulated.)  How is the dog's cuddle bug levelMedium -- Likes to snuggle when he's in the mood but often stays in his own bed Potty TrainedMostly Yes - Might have some accidents as they get used to a new home  Comfy with strangers?Wall flower  -- Quite the wallflower, very shy with new people and takes a while to warm up. Afraid when unfamiliar people try to say hi on the street, hides or shrinks back when new people visit the home Comfortable with Children? (ALWAYS requires supervision)Yes for 12 and up -- may be a little energetic or a little skittish, best with older children that can be extra gentle or that are big enough not to get accidentally knocked down Social with Other Dogs? Yes -- Good with all other dogs (sizes, breeds, etc.) as far as we know and enjoys socializing with other canines Respectful of Other Animals? (cats, small pets, etc.) Sort of -- Seems to chase squirrels and birds and comes on a little strong so probably not a good match for a home with cats, rabbits, etc. Mouthy Behavior? Medum – Is either still in the puppy stage or was never trained to not be mouthy. Wants to put everything in their mouth. Tries to chew on your hands when playing or needs attention, grabs the leash with its mouth, loves to gnaw on your personal belongings.Leash Manners? Getting the Hang of it – Probably hasn’t been on a leash much in its life but he/she is figuring it out. Might be a mild puller but responds to correction.Okay in the city? Adjusting well  -- okay to be adopted out in the city  Jumping on People to Say Hi? Medium – Jumps up only onpeople the dog knows whenreally excited. Stops withcorrection. Separation Anxiety? (Please be sure to leave your foster dog home alone every single day for at least 20 minutes.) Low – Completely fine beingleft home alone. Doesn’t cryor do anything shitty when youleave the apartment or house. Crate training? Not at all – Don’t even haveone, I’ve puppy proofed andwe free range How this dog ended up with Social Tees:Most of our dogs come via partner groups who help us save them from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia in Tennessee, Puerto Rico or Southern California. There are very few spay/neuter resources there and many more animals in those areas than there are people to adopt them. Rescue groups like ours bring them to the northeast where the desire for pets like these allows us to save their lives.  PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee any breed mix, exact age, or full grown size (if the dog is under a year old). We do our best with very educated guesses though!  This animal is not at the Social Tees office, all are in foster homes.
