7yr 18 lbs terrier mix very limited sight. Very sweet just move slowly. Good dogs, patient people. Arrived with Elvis but they aren't bonded.Available dogs are met by appointment for pre-approved adopters ONLY.Our dogs are currently in a foster home which can answer your questions better than anyone else.  We promise our fosters that we will qualify all potential adopters before we ask them to communicate with potential adopters.The application is the first step. Please complete the adoption (or foster) application here: https://www.russellrescuetn.com/application-for-adoption/You will be contacted if further information is needed. We do not have any paid staff members. We are 100% volunteer powered. Volunteers process the applications and need time above their personal needs and full-time jobs to process the apps. Please have patience.Our adoption fee is $250 which includes spay/neuter, DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies, HW check, and microchip. Russell Rescue dogs are fostered in the Middle Tennessee area. We do not ship/transport our dogs, so the approved adopter must be willing to travel to Tennessee. Russell Rescue will try to first place our rescue dogs locally or in surrounding states.Russell Rescue is not open to the public for visiting hours. He’s 3-4 years old and around 15 pounds! He’s got long legs! He’s been in his foster home for just a few hours and already doing fabulous with the other five dogs in the house! Blue has really made great strides this past week! He’s been with us for just 10 days. He’s gone from cowering in his crate, being overwhelmed by the outdoors, and refusing to eat to becoming my husband’s Velcro baby, enjoying a lovely roll in the grass, begging for treats and going potty outside! Blue definitely prefers men. If my hubby is around, I don’t exist! Blue tested slightly anemic and as soon as that is remedied, he will go in for his neuter and be available for adoption after recovery. The way he’s eating now, it won’t be long!Blue is truly the sweetest boy! He isn’t bothered by other dogs or cats, loves to cuddle and follow his person around, isn’t barky or mischievous…a wonderful pup! He’s 10 lbs and 7 years old. Paperwork says a minpin mix…but we swear there’s some doxie in there somewhere! He will be the perfect companion for some lucky person! Meet Blue! He's a 7 year old, 11 pound min pin mixThese 4 are currently at our vet getting spayed/neutered and up to date on all their vetting needs! Once they are finished, they will need fosters or adopters ! They have come from a hoarding situation where there were about 20 dogs. Some of the other dogs we have gotten from there have been pretty shy and scared at first, but have warmed up fairly quickly. Please contact Vivienne (viviennejames@comcast.net) for more information about this pet.Meet young Mr. Slick.  This is the prefect name for this young man as he is a slick little dude that easily worms his way into your heart.  He has that is as soft and shiny as a piece of silk.  This sweet little guy was found as a stray in south Nashville and taken in my Miss Heidi.  She owns a doggie day care and boarding business and Slick is having a blast.  It was a little overwhelming at first but he is now friends with everyone and fitting right in.  He is great with all the dogs but prefers Miss Heidi.  He is her little shadow and follows her everywhere.  All he wants to do is sit next to her or in her lap.  Snuggling is his favorite thing.  He slept through the night the first night without making a peep.  He is housebroken and OK on a leash.  He is a smart guy and will get that quickly.  Slick will make a great family pet.  He is young and has to learn some manners but is not a jumper.  Children 8 and over would be the best match for him.  Silky would also be a great dog for a young couple.  He is neutered, current on all his shots and microchipped.  He is ready for his forever family to find him.  If you are looking for the perfect lap warmer, then you have found him.  To be considered for Slick's forever family and to request and application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.August 19, 2024, 1:19 pm
