**Think this dog might be for you? The first step is to complete an application: http://www.mominpinrescue.org/p/adoption-application_30.html We do not arrange transport for our dogs. If your application is approved, you will be required to come to us to pick up your dog.** Maple is located in San Antonio, TX. She weighs about 16 pounds and is about 6 years old. Some things about Maple. Maple is blind and she is diabetic but if you meet her, you would never know anything is wrong. She gets around her foster home and backyard with zero issues. She might have some sight to be able to see shadows. She jumps on and off the couch. She knows how to use the stairs at the end of the bed and couch (she doesn’t use them often though.) She is very active. She loves to go for walks, she loves other dogs, and doesn’t mind cats. She is very curious with the cats so she is not a stranger to a friendly cat swat here and there lol. She loves to eat. She is potty trained. I keep an exercise pen with her water, bed/blanket and pee pads. She stays in there when her foster is gone (so she doesn’t hurt herself), otherwise, she is free to run about the house. If she needs to go to the bathroom, some days she screams at her foster mom to be let out, and other times she quietly walks to her pen and goes on the pee pads. She does have accidents but that is expected since she is diabetic. She does not have them very often at all. She loves car rides, meeting new people, enjoying new adventures. This girl cannot be stopped!!! She is one of the most amazing dogs I have ever had the privilege of fostering. She deserves her own family and her own place to call home. I would suggest no kids and not too busy of a home. She will do great with a retired couple or even someone that needs someone to look after and care for. She loves attention, she loves to sleep under the covers right next to you. She sleeps in bed with me and she sleeps through the night. Located in San Antonio, Maple's adoption fee is $65.

Story
**PLEASE READ TO THE END FOR IMPORTANT INFORMATION.** If you would like to adopt, please fill out an application at www.TexasChihuahuaRescue.org. The adoption fee is $400. All dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped current on flea, tick, hw meds and dewormer. Texas Chihuahua Rescue is based in Pleasanton, Texas. Additional photos and videos will be made available to approved adopters Texas adopters will be required to pick up their adopted dogs in Pleasanton. Transport available to Buffalo NY and Ontario Canada for an additional fee. Sparrow is approximately 6 to 8 years old and 19 pounds . *as a side note her shelter paperwork states she is 9yr and 11 pounds which is inaccurate. Sparrow was in a very bad shelter after being rescued from a hoarding situation. She appears to be a min pin. Sparrow is missing her right eye and has a scar in her left. This surgery was done by the rescue organization that originally pulled her from the shelter. She has sight in her left eye, Sparrow also had a teeth cleaning, no extra toons needed which is why we believe she is more around 6 year ls not 9 Sparrow has been through a lot and has a sadness to her. She is a bit of a lost soul but has a sweet and forgiving heart. Sparrow was very scared her first few days and would scream when we went near here , then bark at us. Once we gained her trust, she was a little love bug. Sparrow is great with dogs of all ages and sizes . I think toddlers would be a little too much for her but older kids would be fine. She is gentle, quiet and kind, she wants so badly to love and be loved. She will need some decompression time in her new home and environment but ai promise just give her a few days and she will be trusting and wanting and needing of your love and affection and will easily and gratefully return it. Sparrow is a true rescue dog . She has a lot of healing to do , she needs a quiet home with a soft hand and gentle voice. She will walk on leash and harness well once she gets to know you but the first few days she will probably be terrified so some extra precaution should be made for those few first few crucial days of taking her out to potty. A fenced in yard or secured fenced or penned area would probably be preferred for the first few days but if not, you can take her out on a leash and SECURE harness making 110% sure she can not get out of her harness /collar
