Story
Spanky is one of six little guys who came to use when their owner fell on hard times. This little MinPin, at 12 years old, and 12 pounds, is healthy and has a lot of spunk and pep left in his tank. He loves cuddle time, toy time, and zoomie time. It is so enjoyable to see him and his friends playing tug-of-war and zooming around the house or yard during play time. Spanky is healthy, up to date on rabies and distemper vaccinations, and he is microchipped. He is easy-going and will adapt to any situation quickly. He would thrieve in a secure fenced in yard and would love a canine friend, about his size, to romp around with. He would be ok with a couple children, 7 or older, romping and running around to exahust all their enery. He is a great match for any family.

Story
Meet Ezekiel. This budding senior was turned into a rural county shelter by his owner and was on the euthanasia list. One of our volunteers who works at the shelter advocated for him, and we were able to take him into the rescue. Ezekiel has proven to be a very sweet, easy-going, social boy who gets along well with everyone. We know he's going to make some new owners very happy. Ezekiel is being fostered by Christi and Dan and their pack of two pups. He acclimated quickly to his new home and does well with other dogs. They accepted him right away. He's already started playing with his pack and is a respectful playmate. While he enjoys the company of other dogs he's confident enough to be an only dog....as long as he has a human to curl up next to. He likes laying right next to you and is a very sweet companion. We have not seen him around cats, but feel he would be OK with them if they were laidback and dog savvy...he does not seem to have a high prey drive.  While Ezekiel was shy the first few days in his foster home, he's now fully engaged, and his charming personality has come out. He loves to snuggle and cuddle on the couch and has low-key energy but still likes to play and romp in the backyard. Ezekial gets daily walks in his foster home and does very well on leash. He loves his walks and enjoys taking in all the smells of his neighborhood. He does not bark at other dogs and is not fearful of traffic. Ezeikal is crate-trained and house-trained. He's been great at sharing space and treats with his pack and is not very interested in toys...that may come with time. He meets new people and dogs with ease and is ready-made to be someone's cuddly companion. We believe Ezekiel was once a cherished family dog—he’s deeply connected to his humans and becomes social and engaging once he settles in. This sweet boy is truly a gem. Apply today! BREED ESTIMATE: Chihuahua/Min Pin Mix GENDER: Male APPROXIMATE WEIGHT:  13 lbs  APPROXIMATE AGE: ~  6 years old COAT TYPE: Short coat ADOPTION FEE: $425 OTHER INFO: utd on shots/neutered/dental/microchipped LOCATION: Fairfax, VA   FOR MORE INFO OR TO ADOPT: Please go to https://adopt.worthydog.org and complete the application. You can also help save dogs like this one by becoming a foster, providing a rescue dog with a temporary home and giving them the love and care they need until they are permanently adopted.
