Story
Looking for a dog that is small but mighty? Look no further! Meet Nicodemus!Nicodemus is a 4-year-old Miniature Pinscher/Mix. Nicodemus is affectionately known around here as `Nico`! Nico is a very special boy. He is incredibly smart, food motivated, and aims to please. He would be a super fun dog for someone looking to work on training, as he picks things up very quickly. Nico`s idea of a good time is chasing his stuffed squeaky toys. Nico can be slow to warm up to new people, however once he does he will never leave your lap (Literally, good luck getting any work done with this cutie on your lap!). Nico`s ideal adopter is a quiet, patient adopter with experience with shy dogs that will give him the space, time, and love that he needs to come out of his shell with success. Nico may enjoy a home with other animals as long as slow introductions are performed. Nico is looking for a home without young children. Nico is neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, heartworm negative, and given a flea and tick preventative as well as a heartworm preventive. If you think Nico may be the one for you, fill out an adoption application on our website or get in touch with us at wausharacoanimalshelter@gmail.com!

Pete-Miniature Pinscher/mix-male-neutered-6 years-34 pounds. Meet Pete! Pete is a shy guy and a little reserved but the more time we spend with him the more he gets comfortable. He likes attention and looks for more! Pete originally came to us in 2022 from a puppy mill release and he was adopted. He was recently returned due to his owner being unable to care for her him any longer. Pete is great with other dogs due to being from a mill where he was house with a lot of other dogs. He enjoys the company. He currently weighs 34 pounds but is a bit overweight and will benefit from some regular walks and someone to help him along with his diet! If you want to give him the chance at the good life, apply to meet him at www.cchswi.org Please consider Pete! DATCP License #266742-DS
