Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs home leaving on 3/28/25 to NorCal and OR. Surrounding states will be added to our route if needed ☺️ We would love to add Yoshi to our trip for the right home 💕
Meet Yoshi! He turns 1 on 8/1/25. He is a Maltese/poodle mix. He weighs 8.4 lbs. He has a little more growth until he reaches his adult size, but he won't be much bigger than he is now. He is neutered, microchipped, current on all vaccines, has been thoroughly examined by our vet, and has officially been cleared to find a home all his own.
He is a very sweet, and affectionate little guy! He is not your high energy, bouncing off the walls kind of pup whatsoever!! He is very calm natured, and while he loves his toys they are no competition to being in your lap, or snuggled in your arms. He is a real life teddy bear, and one that needs a special human all his own 💙
He is wonderful with other pups his age, and would make a great friend to another sweet dog or cat in your home. If you don't have any other pets, he would be just as happy knowing he will be the prince of your life getting all the extra snuggles he otherwise would have to share!
He is wonderful with men, women, and children alike. He loves a more calm, quiet, and subtle environment so if you or your family has a home where you believe he would thrive in and is simply missing the love and joy a sweet boy like him can bring then he is definitely your guy! He will always be waiting for you to come back home, and his tail will never stop wagging until a snuggle session begins. He is that missing piece to your life, and I promise you don't want to leave it incomplete ❤️
He is not a barker at all! He enjoys knowing he is safe with his humans, and that they can handle any unfamiliar noise. He may learn to find his voice as he matures and his confidence grows in the world, but until then he will leave that job to his trusted family and will keep your seat warm until you return to him as a thank you for keeping him safe ❤️❤️❤️
He is crate trained, and has no problem sleeping in his crate at night. He does also love being in bed with you, so if you love having your little guy in bed, he would be soooo happy! Besides the crate has many other uses, like when you go out to the grocery store and he can't come he can nap in there till you are back home. Regardless of what his sleeping arrangements will be in his next home he will be happy just to have a family of his own again so he is happy to sleep wherever you want him to!
Leash training is new, so that's something that will need to be continued in his next home. He really loves being carried, and has learned to follow you or keep close when outdoors so leash time won't be hard once he learns the joy it brings outside of the home.
House training is going wonderful! He understands pads as well, but he sometimes misses the pad. He will stand on it just doesn't stand on it centered so we have been very diligent to have him on a potty schedule outside throughout the day so the pads are only there if he absolutely needs them in between being taken out. If you have a good schedule too, then the pads will eventually become obsolete!!
His prior owners worked ALOT and raising a young pup wasn't something they thought through. They didn't want him to grow up without receiving the care, training, and socialization he needed to be a well rounded and happy boy so they asked us to bring him in and find him a home where he would be cared for the way he deserved!
His adoption fee is on our website at the bottom of his adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/yoshi
It covers his neuter, vaccines, microchip/registration and his exam with our vet, along with the care associated in the time he has been with us, his grooming costs, and his training we have personally done!
