Story
Meet Brandy!  She is a 9 year old, 10 lb Apricot miniature poodle.  She and her sister Becky have spent their lives in the care of a breeder.  Their working days are now over and they are in a wonderful foster home where they are learning to be pets.  Brandy is reserved but not scared.  You can see her sweetness in her little face and eyes.  She is adjusting well to life in a home and gets along well with everyone.  Brandy loves to be outside taking in all the smells and relaxing in the sun.  She quickly learned the doggie door and can go in and out when she needs to.  This is definitely helping with her house manners.  Brandy cuddles with her sister and is starting to enjoy life.  She has a soft bed to lay in and lots of love coming her way.  She just needs a person or couple that will be patient and help her to adjust to all the new things she will be experiencing.  She is learning that riding in the car is not a bad thing and working on walking on a leash.  (That might take a bit.)  With lots of love and attention Brandy will turn into a loyal and loving companion.  Will that be with you.  Brandy has been spayed and is current on all shots, heartworm negative and microchipped.  To be considered for her forever family and to request an application please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Brandy is currently in Tennessee and can be transported north upon adoption.)August 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Story
This sweet little 8 1/2 lb girl is called Bonnie and her story is so very sad but happening way too many times these days. She is in a very small town of Tennessee and recently lost her mom and the family wanted nothing to do with her precious little 6-year-old poodle called Bonnie. So, what did they do, but put her outside on a tie out and pay no attention to her. She soon became sunburned, matted and full of fleas. She also developed an extreme sadness and fearful nature as she felt the vulnerability of being tied out on a stake. A good neighbor came to her rescue and took her to a groomer to have her shaved down. The groomer was mortified to see the condition that this precious little girl Poodle was in. She decided to not return her to the neighbor and it was in full agreement that she would take over care of this pitiful little girl. Critter Cavalry quickly took her to their vet and she will also be receiving a dental in the next 5 days. You see h mmer throat was swollen from drainage due to bad teeth, but other than that, she passed all health tests such as heartworm and parasites and worms. She will one day be restored to a beautiful soul inside and out. Today she looks fragile and we know her spirit has been beaten down and challenged. But she will survive because we will find someone to love her unconditionally and treat her like the Princess she's always meant to be. If you would like to adopt this precious girl please contact Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comAugust 19, 2024, 2:03 pm

Adoption Donation  $ 499 Located: RI (Transportation costs included to the Northeast , plz ask for more details) Age: approx. 8  years old Weight:  17 lbs.    If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an application on our website  www.fohari.org  and email my foster parent for more information: lizlovesanimals@outlook.com   lizlovesanimals@outlook.com Our adoption application can be found here: https://fohari.org/application/  Our Adoption Process:   Go to our website and select the animal you are interested in. ALL animals are in foster homes as we do NOT have a  shelter where you can visit. Some animals are in foster care in New England, and some are located in other states. If the initials following the animals name are a state, then that is the state where the animal is located. If initials are not a state, then those are the initials of the foster home outside of New England and you will not be able to meet the animal ahead of time. Complete our online application You will be contacted by phone or email by the foster parent  or a member of our adoption team and will have the opportunity to find out more about the animal, and ask any questions that you have to ensure the animal is a good fit for your household. If the animal is local, you can meet the animal, but you would not be able to take the dog home until you are approved to adopt. If you feel comfortable that the animal is a good fit for your home, at this point, you would submit a sum of $200 as a partial payment of the adoption fee as we process your application. At this point, we will remove the animal from our adoption sites and hold the animal for you while we check your references. If you live in an apartment, or a condo, we will need to verify permission to own the animal from your landlord or condo board. Please let your vet’s office and references know we will be contacting them. If your  references are positive, we will schedule a home visit by a volunteer. Please try to accommodate the home visit volunteer as most  have busy schedules. Delays in the visit will result in a delay in the adoption. Once you are approved, you will receive an e-mail with your  adoption contract attached. This e-mail will have details about pick up, the balance of the adoption fee that is owed, etc. Please email your signed & witnessed contract and pay your adoption fee in full, and for any animals located out of state, you will be contacted for details about transport to New England. Once you have paid your adoption fee in full and sent back your contract, you can make arrangement to pick up your animal from the foster home or from transport depending on where the animal is located. Please bring a harness, collar, ID tag and leash when you are picking up the dog unless otherwise instructed by the foster parent. Our extensive approval process is intended to ensure the best fit between our animals and adopters. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Belle, the charming female black and white poodle mix with a heart as big as her fluffy coat! Born around September 27, 2021, Belle found herself in search of a new home through no fault of her own, as she was owner-surrendered due to circumstances beyond her control. Belle is a true delight to be around, with a friendly disposition that warms the hearts of everyone she meets. She's a people person through and through, always eager to shower her human companions with love and affection. Belle's favorite place to be is nestled in your lap, where she can snuggle up close and bask in your presence. Despite her petite size, Belle has a larger-than-life personality, weighing approximately 13.0 pounds. She's been diligently cared for and is heartworm negative, with preventive measures in place to ensure her continued health and happiness. Belle has received a ProHeart 12 treatment, providing protection against heartworms for an entire year. This sweet pup seems to get along with most dogs but will need to meet them prior to adoption so can not be adopted to a family with another dog outside of TX, although she may express herself vocally when confined to a kennel. Belle thrives on human connection and longs to be by your side, soaking up every moment of companionship. She's already mastered the art of potty training and walks like a dream on a leash, making her the perfect adventure buddy for outings. Belle's adoption fee is $400, a small price to pay for the boundless love and devotion she'll bring to her forever family. If you're searching for a social butterfly who adores both humans and furry friends alike, Belle is the perfect match for you. Don't miss the chance to welcome this lovable poodle mix into your life and experience the joy of unconditional love!  You can apply for Belle at www.adoggie4you.org   This dog is currently in Texas; however, it can be transported to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington KY or all along the East Coast. If transported, there is an additional transport fee of $225   . We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to their regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.August 19, 2024, 4:14 pm

Sasha is an overweight poodle at 21 pounds and she should be more like 15 pounds.  She could really use an owner to help her lose weight and feel loved again.  She is 6 years old so no need to potty trained this young veteran.  Sasha came to me with another dog after their owner suddenly passed away from health problems.  She is dog and people friendly, walks well on the leash and rides in the car without getting sick.  Her companion was an overweight male chihuahua mix and they had been together a long time.  He has been placed already and now Sasha would love to be in a stable home.   If you are interested in adopting Sasha please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.  Each dog comes  spay/neutered (fixed), rabies shots appropriate for their age, and dewormed twice.  The dogs are up to date on vaccinations according to their age at the time of adoption.  They are microchipped, heartworm tested and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.  ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE. We transport across the United States. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. Story
Please contact Jamesa (roxysrescue@yahoo.com), 713-882-2610 for more information about this pet. This little guy SAMMY has been with me a while because he had cherry eyes in both eyes and needed surgery.  He still looks a little sluggish but his surgery to remove both cherry eyes went smoothly and he is healing with no problems.  There is NO daily maintenance for upkeep required on him. SAMMY is 3 years old and weighs 11.30 pounds.  He is leash trained and rides well in the car.  I call SAMMY the daddy of the group of dogs around here because he acts like everyone's loving dad.  Especially with the puppies, he cleans them and gently plays with them and he knows what he is doing because he plays a little rougher with the older/bigger dogs. He is a great dog with all of the dogs and if one does not play with him he will get in their face and bark at them for a moment until another dog comes along and plays with him SAMMY is very social and friendly with everyone he meets.  He was found on the streets of San Antonio, TX in horrible shape, simply horrible.  His mats were at least 10 months old and it took me 2 days to get them off.  Oh by the way he looks scruffy and a bit raggedly because I groomed (hacked) him myself so he could have his neuter surgery.  I did not have time to have him properly groomed before the surgery.  I will clean him up again in a few days and post new pictures of him. SAMMY would do best in a home with another dog that he can play with.  He would be bored bad being the only dog.  I do NOT have cats in my home so I do not know how he would do with cats and I do not have the ability to cat test him.  I know he was on the streets a long time surviving the best he could.  Since being in my house he has been a great houseguest and has given me no problems.   If you are interested in adopting SAMMY please submit an application on the website below.  Thank you. www.roxysk9rescue.org     ADOPTION FEE & APPLICATION REQUIRED   Roxxy's K-9 Rescue does not have a shelter, all of our dogs are raised in foster homes.
