Meet MaxMax wasn't always so handsome looking. We didn't even know he had spots under all that fur! Max came in to the shelter from a transport. He was looking for a fresh start in life and that included a sprucing up. Thank you to Sarah from Groomed by Sarah for helping Max feel and look better! Max will need a home with no other animals. We get it, after coming from an overcrowded shelter why would you want to share your people?!Max will do best in a home with no children or other animals. Max has stranger dnager issues but if you go slowly he will wiggle his tail into your heart. *meetings are with an approved application Adoption Information ~·Terrier mix·Altered ·Microchipped ·Yearly vaccinations completed ·No dogs or cats·No kids

Story
Meet Ellie May! Hello new friends, my name is Ellie May. I was found as a stray, and the good people at Albert's Dog Lounge took me in and promised to find me the most perfect home, where I will always be loved and cared for. I'm a senior lady with beautiful blonde curls and weigh just over 16 pounds. The perfect size for any family! I go potty outside and do quite well with not having any accidents in the house if I'm kept on a regular schedule. It would be super cool if I had a fenced yard in my forever home so I can go in and out when I need, or even just because I want to sniff around. I get along well with other dogs and would love to have another canine companion in my home to keep me company while my humans are away, but when you're home I promise to stay close to you so I can keep an eye on you. Do you know what would be even better? If my new family worked from home or was retired. I just enjoy being with my humans so much. I even love the smaller humans, and cats don't bother me one bit. I really enjoy sniffing in the back yard, and going for walks in the neighborhood. I do best when I wear a harness, and I avoid excessive heat and humidity, as sometimes these things can cause me to cough. I take some medicine every day for my cough, but I'm slowly getting weaned for them, so that's great news! I also take a medicine for my joints to feel better. When it's time to go for a car ride, I crawl right into my crate or get my seat belt on for safety and lay down, and enjoy the journey! I'm a good girl like that. I'm a social butterfly and quite friendly with everyone. At night I love to sleep in my own bed on the floor next to you. Foster mom says I'll find my forever home in no time since I'm such a beautiful little lady and so well-behaved! Are you ready to add a little love to your home? *Ellie May is being fostered in Madison, WI. Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs. Story
Meet Artemis! Hello there, I'm Artemis. I'm a handsome adult guy weighing just over 15 pounds. As one of the few males released from a puppy mill, I'm feeling extra relieved to be free from that life! I'm a bit timid, but very inquisitive and I am now my foster mom’s little shadow. I will follow her around wherever she goes. I will jump up on the sofa to be near her. I am not much of a snuggler, I’m just so happy to share her space and will curl up in any available spot just to be near. I do so enjoy a good ear or butt scratching. Older children who can understand that I’m a bit reserved would be okay, and the older, the better in my book. I get along with other dogs and would do quite well if I had another confident playful dog in my forever home to teach me the ropes of my new surroundings. I have done quite well with the potty training and can even do my business while on a leash. Foster mom said that that is a big deal! I haven't been around any cats, but that shouldn’t be a problem. They were all over the place at the mill. I have discovered what toys are! Both squeaky toys and chew toys, and enjoy playing with both of them. I love to play and if my forever humans dedicate just a bit of time to playing, I'll build a quicker bond with them. My forever family will have to continue working with me and help me learn to trust. A fenced yard to keep me safe would be great since I do love to run around but if someone could walk me a couple of times a day that would be okay. I am so looking forward to having a loving family of my own. I'll just need to be in a home where patience and understanding is a common practice. I can't wait to be a part of a loving family and see everything that this life has to offer me. I sure hope you are the family for me! *Artemis is being fostered in the Waukesha area. Story
Get ready to fall in love with Slinky! My name is Slinky and I am a goofy, adorable 25-lb, golden oldie, poodle mix that loves attention and cuddles! I’m happy to be as close to my people as possible and am happiest curled up next to them. I am dog and cat friendly and while I don’t currently live with children, it’s believed I am family friendly since I love to engage and play with toys and request frequent belly rubs. I have great house manners, I am learning my new environment quickly and am doing great on going potty outside when on a consistent schedule. If my foster family will be away for awhile then I’m happy to wear a belly band as I gain more confidence. While I am friendly, I previously lived with a dog that injured my leg. I’m currently taking Gabapentin to make me feel better and have no issues taking my medicine. I certainly don’t hold a grudge and continue to be excited to meet new human and canine friends while on walks! I’m just happy to prance and show off my leash skills and wag my tail :) I’m so excited about finding a family that makes me feel safe and loved so I can love you right back twice as much. If you are ready for love from a calm, pretty boy; look no further than me! *Slinky is being fostered in Monroe, WI Albert's Dog Lounge is a specialty rescue focusing primarily on senior and special needs dogs.
