Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This resilient poodle born around 10/2/2017 has been through a lot but is now ready for a loving home. Found on the streets with one of the worst cases of matting we’ve ever seen, his hair was so long it touched the ground. Sadly, neighborhood kids threw rocks at him as he ran through the streets, terrified and alone. It took an experienced trapper to safely bring him to our facility, where he arrived shaking and too scared to be touched by anyone. However, with time, patience, and care, he has blossomed into a wonderful companion. He now enjoys daily walks, loves being pet, gets the excitement zoomies, and gets along well with other dogs. He is a laid-back boy who especially gets excited for his leash time, happily joining other dogs on walks. Due to his past, he will need a home to give him patience to gain his trust. Once he has your trust, he will be your shadow and want nothing but love. He seems to be potty/house trained, as he will wait to use the bathroom when he gets walked. Fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped, this sweet poodle is ready to find his forever home. His adoption fee is $300. Marley weighs around 20 pounds.   Could you be the one to give him the love he deserves?  Marley is currently in Texas, but transport is available to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington, KY, or anywhere along the East Coast. Please note that an additional transport fee of $225 applies. We do not transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to regulations.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 1, 2025, 1:17 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Randy, a charming Bichon/Poodle mix who came to us as a stray during the Christmas holidays, searching for love and safety. Now ready to find his forever home, Randy is a sweet and affectionate pup who thrives on companionship. He would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time, as he has minor separation anxiety and loves being close to his people. He will be your shadow.  Randy gets along with other dogs and greets everyone he meets with a wagging tail and a joyful spirit. He seems to be house-trained but, like most dogs in a new environment, may have a few accidents until he gets the hang of his new routine. Randy’s adoption fee is $300, which includes his neuter, vaccines, microchip, heartworm test (negative), ProHeart prevention, and Bravecto.  Randy was born around 1/8/2022 and weighs 20.3 pounds. He’s currently located in Texas but is eligible for transport to Washington, Portland (Oregon), Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Chicago, Des Moines, Omaha, Cincinnati, Lexington (Kentucky), or anywhere along the East Coast. Please note there is an additional transport fee of $225, and we cannot transport to Rhode Island or Massachusetts due to state regulations. Randy would love nothing more than to be part of a family who will cherish him forever. If you’re ready to welcome this lovable pup into your home, apply today at www.adoggie4you.org. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Salty Dog was found on the street. He is very scared and still unsure of people. He will need someone with a lot of time and patience to allow him the time and space he needs to start trusting you. Salty Dog will need a secure fenced in yard where he can be safe as he is learning to trust people. He would do best in a quieter home with 2 or fewer dogs so he can get the attention he needs. Would not be good in an apartment. Salty Dog is $400 to adopt, about 18 pounds, and 3 years old. He is located in TX and not available for out of state adoption.    Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 31, 2025, 5:45 pm

Meet Rudy!  He loves laying in someone's lap and prefers being lazy.  He is working on potty training and wears a belly band in his foster home with no issues.  He tolerates larger dogs and loves cats.  He will go in his crate with assistance and prefers the crate be covered so he doesn't whine.

Story
KOBY is a darling, delightful little boy looking for a home. Our best guess on breed is a Maltipoo (poodle/maltese) type mixed breed guy. He was surrendered to us in rough shape, underweight with a matted, messy coat. He's been groomed and has been adding weight and is well on his way to being absolutely perfect. Koby is 4-5 years old and currently 10 pounds. He should be about 13 pounds. Koby is housebroken, crate trained and good with other dogs and cats. He walks well on a leash. Koby's coat will require regular grooming to keep him healthy and looking fabulous. His adopter must be prepared for that regular expense. Koby must go to a home in the greater Cincinnati/TriState area in order to complete his standard rescue vetting. If you'd like to meet Koby, please fill out a dog adoption application at dreamhouserescue.org. We are happy to arrange a private meet with an approved adopter. You can meet Koby at our weekly adoption event, Saturday noon-2 at PetSmart Eastgate.  All of our fully-vetted adoptable dogs go to prospective homes for a one-week trial period to make sure the dog and home are the right fit before an adoption is finalized. We only adopt dogs into homes where all current pets are spayed/neutered and current on vaccines and heartworm and flea and tick prevention. We do check veterinary references to make sure adopters are compliant with standard veterinary care. Our adoptable dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested, dewormed and current on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Story
Meet Lucky! Your new lucky charm is a 5-year-old, 10lb poodle who is sweet, loving, timid and curious. Lucky is doing great with potty training already going outside on grass pads and inside on grass pads as well. He is learning to play with toys and loves rolling on his back on throw rugs with big stretches. He is calm yet observant and loves being by his dog brother tolerating his playfulness while slowly learning to play along. Although Lucky enjoys going on "walks" being carried in a pouch, he is still unsure about walking on a leash and prefers to sit in the grass enjoying the sunshine. His favorite treats include cheddar cheese and peanut butter. This tiny but mighty bundle of love will be very "lucky' to have you as his permanent safe, loving home. Lucky is fostered in the Cincinnati area. His adoption fee is $450.00. To adopt this animal, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.
