Story
Lulu was found as a stray in a rural part of Utah and was very timid. After a few weeks in her foster home, she’s come out of her shell and is a wonderful girl. She has a little separation anxiety when her humans leave so a canine companion will be best for her. She’s not a fan of the crate but can be trusted in the house. She’s tall and can counter surf if food is out. She’s smart and can lift a kitchen garbage can lid. She’s also learning to leave bathroom garbages alone. She can jump really high - she likes to tease the dog behind our 6’ vinyl fence. She shouldn’t be left unattended if the home has neighbor dogs. She likes to run and wrestle with her foster sisters. She sleeps on the floor in the bedroom next to her human and won’t get on the bed. She has been invited to sit on the couch next to her foster dad and she thinks that is very cool. She will sit and lay down. During dinner we tell her to “go lay down” and she will. Her foster home doesn’t have a dog door so she waits by the door when she has to go out. She knows the command “go potty.” She’s been gaining some weight that she desperately needed and sits for treats and takes them gently. She will bark if someone comes to the door or if she sees someone she doesn’t know. She required a slow introduction to her foster sisters and still needs that with some new people. Life on the streets was probably pretty rough for her. She has beautiful markings and will need regular grooming (she was extremely scared at her grooming appointment). She is a very loving girl and will be the best companion ever.Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $200. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi Hi! I’m Gus Gus! I’m a 1 year old, 40lb poodle – which means I think I'm a hypoallergenic, non-shedder. And that’s in addition to all the other wonderful things about me! I have so much to offer my future forever family! I’m absolutely the sweetest, most loyal boy. I love to sit next to you or hang out close to you. Working on the computer? Putting on your makeup? Cleaning the house? I’ll be right by your side, keeping you company. If you don’t like to be alone, I’m the solution to your problems! But don’t worry! You can definitely leave me alone. I am crate trained and do well in my kennel when you need to leave me. I also sleep in there (like a furry angel) every night. The crate isn’t the only thing I’m good at! I am also potty trained and pretty good on leash! I am SUPER smart. I could learn anything you want to teach me. Foster mom has even started a little bit of training with me and I responded incredibly well. I am fabulous with other dogs. I LOVE other dogs. I think other dogs are pretty much the most fun thing in the world! I am very playful, and I’ve never met a dog I didn’t like. I do understand when dogs don’t want to play with me, and I respect their feelings after a few attempts. But really, having a playful doggy friend in my forever home would be the best thing EVER! As far as humans go, I think they’re great, too! When strangers first come into my orbit, I’m a bit shy of them. I will hang back until I decide you are a safe friend. After that, I’m amazing. Very friendly and happy to know you. This applies to kids, too! I would happily live with some kids! If you’re active and looking for a young, happy, playful guy (who’s SO MUCH FUN) but don’t want to do the whole ”puppy” thing, I could be the boy for you! Apply to meet me today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 25, 2025, 3:42 pm

This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. DISCLAIMER- Breed type is determined based on general appearance and behavioral characteristics, and cannot be guaranteed unless DNA test results or AKC registration were provided at intake.
