Teddy is a beautiful senior miniature poodle, about 8 years old who was abandoned in Mexico and taken in by our sister rescue there. He is calm and mellow, gets along well with other dogs and loves to be around people. He has a very wide overbite which doesn't affect him leading a normal life and is healthy and happy. He would do best with a stay at home family with older,  respectful kids who are willing and able to be patient and take Teddy on walks and outings regularly, but also be around him a lot because that's what he enjoys the most. He is crate trained and has no issues being left alone an hour or so if needed.  He is learning to potty outside, but wears a belly band in the meantime inside the house to prevent him from marking. I came to RASKC as a stray and now I`m looking for a new home!I`m a shy little man looking for a quiet and predictable home where I can settle in and show off my true personality! I`m sure with some time, love and dedication I`ll come right out of my fluffy little shell. Not much is known about my past and the staff in the shelter are still getting to know me. I`m a poodle mix! It`s important that my new family considers my grooming needs before adopting me. I will need to see a professional groomer every 8-12 weeks if my new family doesn`t want to do full coat care at home. Caring for my hair is super important to avoid matting and skin irritation. I am 14lbs and considered a small breed dog. I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!

The call was put out for the need from several commercial breeders who needed some of their dogs gone, at a cost of course in the middle of the midwest. Of course they always want money for the dogs & of course once we know about them we are not leaving them & do what we have to do to help them. These innocent souls lives was instantly changing in that moment & only for the better. They were one of the very lucky ones. On this day we rescued a total of 17 lives of mums, dads & puppies including Lily & her siblings. Now the real healing, love & devotion could begin & show Lily how she is supposed to be loved & adored in a loving forever home just as they are in their foster home. Lily & her friends & siblings were bought back to the WA state where she is now so happy to be here & can’t wait to find her new loving devoted forever home. It’s so funny to watch this sweetheart & her sister run for the first time as she & her sister Lilac looks as though a big ball of fluff is running. Her foster mum said you don’t even know she is in the home as she is just so sweet & innocent. Lily is the best of both worlds, she will play but then be happy to snuggle up with you on the couch. She can be a little stalker & loves both her foster mum & dad. She has mastered wooden stairs & can go up & down them no worries. She can also squeeze through a baby gate as she is that little so that needs to be considered. She is curious with being in the backyard but is never ever left alone outside. She will put leaves & dirt in her mouth while outside just for curiosity. This little lady is now loving life in her foster home. She now knows what toys are & loves playing with her toys. She has been learning to go potty on material potty pads. She is not too fond of being outside for too long. At first she did not have a clue about anything at all but has picked up things very quickly in her devoted foster home. She absolutely loves her foster siblings & sister. She is extremely sweet but is very loving & a very cuddly little lady. She really enjoys snuggling with you & we know she adores being picked up & held & carried around to see what is going on. At first she had no idea what it was to be held & loved but now she gets ready to be picked up. The reality is, the foster homes are her real first experience at being in a home, with a tv, bedding she can snuggle up in, a roof over her head that’s not outside. Lily is a wonderful eater & we know that she is obsessed with food with the amount of weight she has put on in her loving foster home with the good nutrition she is getting. She eats a clean diet meaning, raw fruits, vegetables, grains & proteins & is on supplements. She gets bully sticks & collagen sticks & loves them. Well she is absolutely obsessed with them. She adores comfy beds & big comfy blankets because again the reality is, this is something she did not get to experience ever until he was rescued. She currently sleeps with her sibling as they are fostered together & you will find them snuggled up together their foster mum said. Her sibling is Lilac. She absolutely loves to sleep in the bed with you too & be apart of what you are doing. She is such a very innocent puppy who just wants to be loved & to make up for her past. She loves everyone & is so very sweet. She loves being bathed & groomed & tolerates the hairdryer. She absolutely loves you brushing her & will close her eyes & go to sleep while brushing her. You have to get her up to keep going after you have finished brushing her. She would still need to be taught to walk on a harness & leash. She is a puppy & we have not taken her out anywhere. Lily rides in the car well & considering the only times we know of was when she went to be sold & when we got her & going home & to & from the vets with us & her loving foster home. But she does absolutely amazing in the car. We are looking for a crate free home for this little lady only. Lily as you can imagine spent the first part of her life in a caged environment. We are also looking for a forever home for Lily where someone is home during the day or she can go with her people wherever possibly she can go with them. When they find someone who treats them as they should be treated & loves them they get so attached to them. Lily is looking for a forever home who will cherish her & love her as she should be loved & be patient with her & never give up on her. Lily has been around many breeds of dogs all shapes & sizes in the rescue & she is currently with her sibling in her foster home. She will be found snuggled up with her foster siblings. She absolutely must go to a forever home with a dog or dog’s present in the home for him to thrive in. She needs a very snuggly dog in the home for her to play with. Please do not apply saying your neighbors have a dog or family members or you will take him to places where there are other dogs. That will not work, another dog or dogs is mandatory along with a fully fenced backyard. Lilac is roughly 9 lbs & he is roughly 1 year old & ‭a miniture or a toy poodle‬. She has put on a lot of weight since being in the rescue in her foster home. What she is mixed with we are not sure. We treated her for coccidia & giradia as we do with all puppies. Female, she will be spayed by laser by our vets, she is microchipped, up to date on her shots, including DHPP, bordatella, leptospirosis, dewormed & is spayed. We have spent far more on Lily with paying for her from a commercial breeder. Bringing her to WA with her travel costs, her transportation to WA. All of her medical care in WA & Omaha etc & bringing her to WA then her adoption fee comes close to covering. Lily has not been around cats since being in the rescue, but it’s always up to the new family to be responsible with their animals together & we have not had her around small children but we do do not recommend small children nor cats though & it’s always up to the family to be responsible with their children & cats. We were not there when Lily was conceived so we do not know who her parents were & it’s always up to the new potential family to look at the pictures & decide what they think her breed is. As with all of our rescues & Lily’s friends & siblings she will need work on potty training & training, so this should be something the new family would be willing to work on & commit to. He is extremely sweet but is very loving & a very cuddly little chap. He really enjoys snuggling with you & we know he adores being picked up & held & carried around to see what is going on. He adores being kissed & hugged by his foster family & being a free spirit doing his own thing. Look at this tiny little soul. How he survived this living hell we will never know? To think of what he has been through & yet he still loves human beings even after everything they have done to him. We cannot even begin to imagine what Barry witnessed & heard when he was at the slaughterhouse & how Danny ended up in a slaughterhouse for human consumption & yes you did read that correctly, we will never know? What we do know is, he was pulled out of there by our outstanding Chinese rescuer just in time. It’s absolutely soul destroying to think about the horrific situation he ended up in. Working with one of our truly devoted, dedicated & absolutely outstanding Chinese rescuers she rescued Danny along Luma Danny’s brother with many others for us. Without this beloved rescuer going in & getting Danny out, his fate was a torturous death. She transferred Danny along with many other sweet souls & got well & they waited to come to the US. This is a very extremely expensive situation but we believe every sweet soul such as Danny & his friends deserves to be loved & cherished & given the chance to have a wonderful life. Now Danny is looking for a special family to cherish him & be patient with him & remember what this beautiful soul has been through & a family that meets all his needs. Barry was bought back to the USA where he is now a US citizen & is so happy to be here & can’t wait to find his new loving devoted forever home. Danny is the most adorable little man you will ever meet. He is such a sweet & very smart boy his foster family said & has taught himself to go up & down hardwood stairs but when it’s time to go upstairs to sleep in bed which he loves & will sleep with his foster family all night he will wait for his foster mum to pick him up & carry him. We cannot stress enough how lovely Danny is & deserves the most loving home & will give him all the love in the world. This boy is so stunning inside & out & he has come along way since he arrived from China. The reality is he had to learn everything new here. He is so forgiving. He just wants you to love him & he will love you back. He adores being hugged & held because the reality is we are the first real people in his life to show him such true love & affection. He also enjoys being picked up & carried. He looks at his foster mum & she knows he wants to be picked up & then he kisses her. He adores his foster mum & dad now as they have shown him normalcy & love. In his foster home he eats a clean diet meaning, raw fruits, vegetables, proteins, grains & different supplements. Danny is a good little walker on his harness & leash. Danny is a rescue & will need patience, time & understanding. Danny adores being pampered & doesn’t want you to stop when brushing him, cleaning his eyes, grooming him, he loves it all. He also does extremely well being touched in general & adores receiving love. Having toys & a warm bed is all new to Danny & we have been excited to change his world with the introduction of toys & lots of love & affection & a loving environment. He is quite a free spirit because he does enjoy going off & doing his own thing or then sometimes he can be found laying with his foster siblings. He loves his foster dad & will even stalk him to pick him up. He adores both of his foster parents & will put his paws on them for love. Danny has learnt to ride in the car & does well in the car & enjoys a good car ride. He is such an easy & sweet going, loving little lad. With Danny we are only looking for a crate free home for this lovely little lad only. Please do not apply with the intent to crate this boy.
