Story
Jake will be 6 years old in April. He has been with us his entire life. As my children have aged, we are hardly home, and Jake has to stay in a kennel way longer than he deserves. Although it's a hard decision for us, he deserves a better life than we can give. He is incredibly affectionate and is super excited when you first come home, but he calms fairly quickly. He's only ever been around his brother regarding other animals, so I don't know how he would do with others. We typically separate him from small children because he's easily excitable. We'd love for him to have a fenced yard where he can play outside -- a home where people are there more than we are. We are also rehoming his brother, Ace. If you are interested in both, we can discuss the rehoming fee.
We'll also keep you updated on Ace's adoption status with email updates.

Story
Ace will be 6 years old in April. He has been with us his entire life. As my children have aged, we are hardly home, and Ace has to stay in a kennel way longer than he deserves. Although it's a hard decision for us, he deserves a better life than we can give. He is incredibly affectionate but can be protective. He isn't mean, but he definitely watches out for those he loves. He's only ever been around his brother regarding other animals, so I don't know how he would do with others. We typically separate him from small children because he's easily excitable. We'd love for him to have a fenced yard where he can play outside -- a home where people are there more than we are. Note about Ace: He likes to dig in the trash and eat things he shouldn't. :) We have resolved this by having trash cans with lids that seal. We are also rehoming his brother, Jake. If you are interested in both, we can discuss the rehoming fee.
