All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped. * If you are interested in a dog, please first read the biography on the dog (keep scrolling down for the bio!) and then go to our website, www.dpsrescue.com for an application. Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee.Adoption Fee: $750 The Vegetable puppies are a litter of 12 week old Miniature Schnauzer x Dachshund mixes ready to serve up a plate of adorableness! The Veggie pups were surrendered to the shelter where we picked them up. We have no clue how anyone could have let these cuties go but we promised them we’d find them perfect forever homes. This litter is 4 boys and 1 solo girl. We expect the puppies will be in the 10-12 pound range when they are fully grown, but that is just an estimate. What we do know is that they will be loving and adorable puppies who will make their forever people so happy! Ready for a serving of vegetables? Adopt a Vegetable puppy today! Artichoke (M): Artichoke is a Velcro Mama’s Boy who has so much love to give the world. This fluffy boy stole his foster mom’s heart from day one, tottering around after her wherever she goes. He is so fluffy and is a joy to pet for hours at a time. He loves giving kisses when he is excited and he even rests his paws on your face like he is holding you to say “hey, let me show you how much I love you”. It’s almost impossible to resist him, we know! Artichoke is also a total adventurer, jumping off the couch fearlessly as he plays with his brothers and sister. We know this guy has a bright future full of joy ahead of him. Artichoke promises to bring the dip if you bring the treats! Bell Pepper (F): Bell Pepper is the solo gal of the litter and she leads her brothers like the Queen she is! She is a huge lover and gives out kisses to anyone she comes across. She adores her human foster siblings and plays video games with them. When her people come home, her tail wags a mile a minute, jumping up to give cuddles. She is a total daddy’s girl and adores her foster Dad, who she wrapped around her little paw from day one. She also does an adorable little paw swat if you are petting her and she decides she isn’t done getting cuddles. Whatever the Princess wants, she gets! Bell Pepper can’t wait to provide the flavor in her new home! Broccoli (M): Broccoli is a bundle of fluffy puppy love who loves curling up and snuggling! He is the last puppy out of the pen in the morning as he soaks up the last few minutes of sleep. He is so fluffy and absolutely adorable. Don’t get us wrong, he can also play with the best of them but he leans towards snoozing for now. His favorite thing to do is cuddle next to his people and spend time getting loved on. Broccoli is even adorable when he is sleeping, as his little tongue pokes out while he dreams of treats awaiting him. Broccoli is truly the most adorable little dude who will make you wonder why you never wanted to eat your greens. Mushroom (M): Mushroom is a playful puppy who is the sweetest baby in the world. He is the perfect blend of chill and energetic. He loves a good nap but is also just as happy to run around and wrestle with his siblings. When he gets cuddles, he sleeps on your chest like a little baby, his eyes blinking slowly as he drifts off. He has so much love to give, it’s almost impossible to understand where he keeps it all! Mushroom would love a sibling to charge around the yard with in his forever home. Bring this fun-gi home today! Turnip (M): Turnip is a puppy with a heart that is bigger than planet Earth! He loves everyone he meets and will jump into your lap to give you tons of kisses and cuddles. He also adores playing with his siblings. The best part of his day is when his people come home because he knows he will get tons of love. He has an adorable little face and a fabulous temperament. He knows exactly how adorable he is and makes sure everyone falls in love with him. Turnip loves to give hugs and will put his little paws on your arm in the most adorable way possible. You won’t ever want to turn(ip) away from this boy once he joins your family. Adopt Turnip! The puppies start their day at 6:30 AM during the week and 8 AM on weekends. They head outside immediately for potty and play time to shake off that morning energy as their foster family starts their day and gets ready for work. They come inside for breakfast which they eat happily. They head back to their pen for some wrestling followed by a morning nap. Throughout the day, the puppies alternate between playing, cuddling, napping, and socialization time. They have lunch at 12 PM and dinner at 7 PM. After dinner, the puppies go outside for some more play and potty time. They then hop onto the couch for some evening cuddles and kisses. They head back into their pen around 10 PM and snuggle together for the night. The Vegetable puppies have been well socialized with dogs of all ages and sizes. They love meeting new people and shower everyone in kisses and cuddles. The puppies will require training and socialization to ensure they are the best adult puppies they can be! Their foster family has set them up very well for a well-rounded upbringing and forever homes should prepare to continue that. We know that these pups will be the talk of the town with how adorable and loving they are. Ready for adventure? Pick up a Veggie today!
