Story
Sadie is an 8 yo 16 lb. chocolate/liver female mini schnauzer looking for her forever home in PA, DE, MD, VA, or DC. (more pics in comments). She is a friendly, barky, playful, active dog who loves attention and is a lapdog. She is house-trained and crate trained. She likes playing with toys and fetching them. She was spayed in rescue as well as having bladder stones removed. She will need to be on urinary prescription food the rest of her life to prevent the stones from reoccurring. She is microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines. Sadie would do best in a townhome or single family home with a fenced yard. Children should be age 10 or older. She does not get along with dogs living in the home, so should be an only dog. Sadie's adopter will be required to take her through obedience training. If you would like to be considered to adopt Sadie, you must first apply. Please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com for our rescue's adoption application. Please be sure to keep a watch on your Spam and Junk folders if you don't see a response in your email inbox. If you've already applied, please contact schnauzerrescue@outlook.com to be added to the list of those being considered. Rescue Schnauzers usually weigh between 15-25 pounds, they are up to date on shots, heartworm/Lyme tested and spayed/neutered prior to placement. We make reasonable efforts to evaluate the health and temperament of each dog, however we cannot make any guarantees. We are not a shelter and do not have a central facility to visit our rescue schnauzers. All dogs are kept in foster homes located throughout the area we cover. PLEASE NOTE: We rescue schnauzers in Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and Pennsylvania. We can only accept applications from these areas. For a rescue contact in other areas, please go to our website http://www.schnauzerrescue.net and click on Rescue Links. We have a need for volunteers in Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., Pennsylvania, and Delaware. Our website features lots of great information about the rescue process, book reviews and training tips. You can donate to Sadie's care at http://schnauzerrescue.net/Donate.htm via PayPal or check. All donations go to the veterinary fund and are tax deductible as a charitable contribution. Thanks for your support!

Story
**SENIOR** Do you love a dog that wants to snuggle?  Griffin is the boy for you!  A sweet and loving guy - he wants to be your best friend.  He does well with his foster's dog but his person is his true love.  Griffin is easy to walk on leash and his foster describes him as "a real people dog." He is housetrained and knows basic commands.  While he loves getting on the couch or bed he will not do so without permission.  He'd like permission though - because he loves to snuggle up and take a nap with you!   Griffin rides well in the car and is good about going into his crate. Griffin would love to find his forever home and his forever people.  At 6 years years old he is technically a senior but he has many years ahead to love and explore with a new family.  Griffin is ready to fit into any household with love to give.  At only 18 pounds, he would be fine in an apartment or condo. Griffin will make a great companion and snuggle bug. He just wants to be with a person who will appreciate his playful side, allow him a sense of security, and love him forever. ##2333398##

Story
Meet Sir Jacob Fahnsworth! His Schnauzery Highness is full of life, energy, and pure joy. He runs and plays like the happiest dog in the world, and we think he just might be! He is completely housebroken, so well behaved, and very eager to please. He lives for getting compliments and positive reinforcement! As befits a member of royalty, Sir Jacob expects only the finest snacks and belly rubs. In return, he knows how to sit, give his paw for a treat, and come when called. You can tell he has definitely been loved and trained well in the past. His forever family will need to give him plenty of exercise, either via a fenced yard or leashed walks. He's an absolute champ with other dogs and loves trotting around with them, and he's generally very obedient. He barks a bit when his foster mom leaves and to greet her when she comes home because he's so excited to see her (and we can't blame him!). He has a heart murmur but it's not symptomatic. After his dental in March, he'll be more than ready to find the forever home he deserves! Could you be Sir Jacob's happily ever after? Fostered in Richmond, VA Please apply to adopt at MirisHaven.org

Story
❗Current Location: in a foster home in South Korea❗ • Personality: She's sociable and energetic. She adapts to new places right away and loves to reach out to new people and friends she meets. She knows how to say hello to familiar people and friends. She loves to play with other dogs and loves to play with people. She picks up on new training quickly, so we think she would make a great dog for a family with a good understanding and training knowledge of dogs. She's a bit of a sneaky prankster right now, so she can get into trouble, but she's affectionate, gentle, and full of energy. • Affinity with -Cats:She is currently living with cats in a temporary foster home. She is not aggressive with cats, but she is very interested in them, so if you have a cat that likes dogs, she would be fine. -Dogs: She is currently living with the dogs in her foster home without any issues. They play well with each other, are socialized, and warm up quickly to new dogs they meet. -Adults/Kids: She is very fond of people and loves to be petted. She warms up quickly to people she meets for the first time. • Shedding: Moderate. There is shedding in certain periods. Her fur is best brushed daily with a silicone brush. • Walking Manner: She loves to go for walks, both familiar and new, and prefers to take fast, wide, territorial walks (rather than slow, sniffing the trails). He also loves to run in the park, but will sometimes try to run outside if there is no fence. she is fast and has a lot of energy, so she loves to run around in large parks and meet people and dogs. she also loves to go for walks in the mountains, but she has a hunting instinct and is interested in small snakes, rodents, and birds. • Housetrained: She goes potty on pee pads and highly prefers to go outside. She can chew on wood and plastic furniture and will grab small items that fall on the floor and play with them. She's very playful and will run around with you if you have a like-minded friend in the house. • Separation Anxiety: She's always been around other dogs, so we can't confirm, but we think she'll be fine on her own. • Bark or Howl: She barks briefly when she hears strangers outside. There is no howl • Carsickness: She had drooling at first, but now she rides well.
