Story
We have a transport where we will be personally taking our dogs on to their new adopting families leaving in March 2025 to the East Coast. Surrounding states will be added to our route as needed ☺️ We would love to add Hailey to our trip for the right home 💕
Meet Hailey ❤️ She is a 3 year old, salt and pepper, 18 pound, miniature schnauzer. Yes, she is full grown, and at a very healthy weight. She is spayed, current on all vaccines, and microchipped. She had an overall great physical exam with our vet and has been cleared to find a home all her own.
Where do I begin telling you how great Hailey is ❤️
She is an Amazing, Kind, Beautifully Natured, SWEET girl who is the absolute definition of all that I LOVE in this breed ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
She very quiet, doesn't bark! She is serene tempered, LOVES nap time (a little to much 😂 and will sneak in a couple of them a few times a day every day!) She is so very calm, and must have an old soul because she is very mature for her age (hence the nap time Routine of hers 😂.)
She is AMAZING with ALL dogs big or small, and cats too!! She lived with a few cats that she would snuggle with all the time; so if you have another amazing friend at home outside of yourself of course then she would happily join them in life and become one of their best friends as she would become one of yours too ☺️
She is AMAZING in the house. She is not destructive at all. She is very confident and independent. She will lounge around the house during the day, and occasionally get up to be a nosy body to see what you have going on, and if it's not interesting enough she will go back to her cozy spot she left before you bore her with your chores around the house 🙃
She is a VERY happy girl, and even smiles when she is happy!! Her eyes light up as if radiating from the joy in her heart. She truly is one of the most amazing, and so very special dogs we have here and one we will cherish always ❤️❤️❤️❤️
She is house trained, and will go outside to use the restroom when needed. She will get up and go sit by the door, patiently waiting for you to open it for her.
If you ask her if she needs to go outside throughout the day she will get up and walk over to the door, if not, she will simply ignore your question 😅
She is crate trained; and will put herself in the crate to sleep. She will happily and peacefully sleep in her crate at night if needed. She will also lounge on a bed in your home or room. We haven't invited her in bed with us, and she hasn't asked so Ild say she is happy just being in a cozy bed wherever that may be!
She is leash trained, and loves going for walks. She is very social, and always greets everyone with love.
She is amazing on road trips, no matter the distance so if you want to travel with her she will always be happy to be right there next to you! She does very well with grooming, and is always amazing on the table with every single thing she needs done ❤️
Her owner had a really bad fall which required her to be in a wheelchair. She needed a lot of physical therapy, along with future surgeries that ultimately led her to us here to take in her sweet girl Hailey. She didn't want to say goodbye, but with limited mobility, and no help she just couldn't give her the life she deserved. Hailey is so easy to please, and it would have been easy to just let her continue living the life she had but she knew that wasn't fair to her even if Hailey didn't complain. Not being able to walk her, or pick her up broke her heart. She loved her so much that she wanted someone else to take over and give her the life she deserved to have again ❤️
Her adoption fee is on our website at the very bottom of her adoption listing at https://www.breadoflifek9refuge.org/post/hailey
It covers her spay. She was in heat at time of spay, so there was an in heat spay increase due to needing longer anesthesia time during surgery and an antibiotic injection to aid in the healing of her spay as it's a more delicate surgery when in heat. She didn't show any signs here, so it was caught early thank goodness and yes, she has healed from her spay ❤️ It also covers her vaccines; micorchip/registration, double ear infection we had treated (and yes, she is healed from that as well,) along with two seperate eye ointments that were prescribed to treat dry eye. Our vet says it's very mild as we had a Schirmer Tear Test done in both eyes to check the tear levels and both were slightly off. It will only be needed "as needed" moving forward ❤️
Although her vetting was great, and much greater than we are asking it was worth every single penny spent as she is that special and we just want her to feel her absolute best again ❤️❤️❤️❤️
