Did you know that dogs can smile?? I have proof! This girl is the happiest dog I have ever been around. She is like this anytime i look in her direction! This scruffy is Sangria. Sangria was found, pregnant in a known dumping area at Christmas. Slowly but surely, she has been coming out of her shell. She is truly the sweetest dog once she trusts you. Her favorite thing to do is get belly rubs and is the fastest tail wagger! Sangria is featured here with her puppies Dallas Dog - Rescue.Rehab.Reform took her in during a help clear the shelter initiative. All Dallas Dog adoptable pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines upon finalizing adoption. Puppies adopted under the age of five months require a spay/neuter contract, and all dogs are required to be spayed by six months unless otherwise medically noted. Our dogs are currently on heartworm preventative. Puppies receive 3 to 4 rounds of vaccinations depending on their age, and adults receive two rounds unless they've been with us longer than a year, in which case they receive the booster update. You can complete an application or view all the adoptable pets on our website at www.dallasdog.org/adopt. Upon receiving your application, please allow us 2-3 business days to review and process.

Story
🩷 ADOPT DAISY 🩷 Daisy’s about 2 years old and 20 pounds. We believe she’s a schnauzer but haven’t had a DNA test done. She spent most of her life on the streets after being abandoned. When she was first rescued, she was terrified but we gave her space and showed her that people are good. She never tried to bite anyone, she would just fight to get away. We kept a drag leash on her for a couple months, to be able to get ahold of her, and pet her. The more we showed her love, the more love she came back for. Daisy’s been with our rescue since November. She spent the first 2 months in the hospital, working with the vet, to learn to trust. Now, she come when you call her, she LOVES playing with other dogs, she’s even begun laying on her back and letting you pet her tummy. She’s microchipped, spayed, vaccinated, she’s had a Proheart 12, 12 month heartworm prevention shot, and she wears a GPS collar that needs to be charged about once a month. If you take her away from the house, it may need to be charged a little more often. We’d recommend giving her about a month to settle in before taking her out on walks. We’d love to find her a home that has a dog around her size or bigger. She’s still learning how to dog properly. She’s just the sweetest girl though! She’s come so far and it’s time for her to find a family of her very own!
