Story
Meet Aldi, a charming 13-pound white Schnauzer-Chihuahua mix with the sweetest personality! This petite girl is as adorable as she is gentle, with expressive pink ears that perk up when she’s curious and a curly tail that’s always wagging with joy. Aldi may be a bit shy at first, but with patience, she’ll warm up and become a loving companion. Her naturally sweet nature makes her a joy to be around, and she’s sure to melt your heart with her gentle demeanor. Aldi is a little hesitant with new experiences but will eventually bond closely with her family and seek out affection. Not only is Aldi gentle and respectful of feline friends, but she also prefers the company of other small animals. She enjoys the company of the other dogs she currently lives with at her foster's house and does better when walking alongside another dog. Aldi would do well in a home with another small, low-energy dog or a cat to be friends with. She’s improving on her leash skills and would thrive in a home with a yard or a quiet apartment in a residential area where she can take her time to adjust. Aldi is great with older couples or first-time dog owners. She’s a gentle, sweet girl who just needs a little time to shine. If you’re ready to give Aldi the patience and love she deserves, she’ll reward you with loyal and loving companionship. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
If you're looking for a good and quiet girl, who is also very affectionate, loyal and obedient- Kippie is your adorable, chonky girl! Estimated to be around 3 years old, Kippie is a full figure gal weighing in at 25 lbs and is a schnauzer mix of sorts. She can hang too- uses the dog door like a pro, sleeps quietly in the crate, and will pull out every toy in the basket and take time to enjoy each and every one. This darling gal is happy to rest near her person, lounge on the couch, keep up for a leisure hike, and would enjoy getting out each day for a long walk! She is wonderful with other easy going dogs after a short intro, and pretty much ignores cats. Kippy would love a semi-active home and another easy-going dog friend for companionship and for an occasional rumble session. She can be trusted in or out of the crate while her people are away and will always take advantage of the dog door! She does have a coat that is minimally shedding and will require regular professional grooming. Potential adopters should have a plan for regular grooming appointments and costs. Kippy is fixed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and health checked. Her adoption fee is $200. To be considered, please apply online at caws.org. Thanks! Story
Duck is the sweetest boy, and he is ready to find his forever home! Duck is about 4 months old and is likely a wirehaired terrier Lab mix of sorts. He has the sweetest personality, loves attention and cuddles, and wants to follow his people around. If you sit down on the couch he will want to cuddle up right next to you and take a nap. He is house and crate trained, and is learning to sit, walk on a leash, and ride in a car. He gets along with all the dogs he has met, although he has not been around cats. He is extremely food motivated, and will need help to be gentle when taking treats from your hand. Duck was found roaming on a local Utah reservation, skin and bones, alongside a busy road eating garbage. We expect him to grow to be a larger dog, around 55-60# full grown. Duck would prefer to be adopted into a home with another playful dog companion, and would enjoy a yard or an active family that could take him out on adventures. Duck is a sweet, gentle puppy, and will make an amazing companion. Ducks adoption fee is $300 and includes his first year vaccines, neuter, microchip, deworming and health check. To be considered, please apply online at caws.org. Thanks!
