Story
Meet Smiley, a super cute 2 year old neutered male yorkie/chihuahua mix, weighing about 10 lbs! This sweet boy smiles a lot when he is nervous and when he is happy, which is how he got his name. We promised him he'd be doing more happy smiles than nervous ones once he was taken into rescue!
Smiley is good with other dogs, not cat tested but we think he would likely do ok with cats. We recommend older kids 8+ who know to respect a dog's space, due to his small size and the fact that he can be a bit timid at first.
He is medically up to date, crate trained, and mostly housebroken. Apply to meet this wonderful boy today!

Adoption fees vary based on the dog and are not negotiable. As a small rescue that does not receive government funding or grants, we rely on adoption fees to stay afloat. Adoption fees help cover the following: vaccinations, wellness exams, heartworm/4DX testing, parasite prevention, spay/neuter (age-appropriate), microchipping, transport expenses, and other rescue-related overhead/administrative costs. Paws Rescue League, Inc is an all-inclusive rescue that does NOT only rescue puppies and young, healthy dogs. We make a point to also rescue seniors, dogs with special needs, moms, and other “less desirable” dogs, knowing that we will likely incur higher veterinary expenses and that these dogs may take longer to get adopted. As such, an individual adoption fee is not only reimbursing PRL for expenses directly related to that dog, but it is also helping us to continue our mission of taking in dogs that would otherwise be too much of a financial burden to save. We believe that ALL dogs deserve a second chance. Thank you for your support and understanding!
