Almost Home Foster Kennels, MN Lic. 132328 is a 501c3, not-for-profit, foster-based, rescue organization. AHFK is located in SE Minnesota, in the Austin/Albert Lea area. AHFK is primarily a Beagle and small dog rescue.
Our focus is to pull from High-Kill Shelters and to save those dogs that are at risk of euthanasia.
All AHFK adoptions require an approved, completed application, a Veterinarian and Personal Reference Check, a smoke-free environment, and a home visit.
Our Adoption fee is $425.00 for a single dog adoption.
All our dogs are completely vetted, 4DX tested, current on vaccinations, *spayed/neutered, and microchipped.

Sandi is a mixed breed. We believe her to be a wire-haired Terrier and possibly Chihuahua mix. Sandi is 8.4#. She has the typical protective Terrier and Chihuahua traits. Since she was dumped and found running a Oklahoma highway new Oklahoma City, she is still in her self-preservation mode, but she warms us quickly and is learning to trust.
As a general rule, we state that all of our fosters are not house-trained. We realize that changes in routine and environment causes stress and can lead to accidents. Sandi is crated at night only and at this time, she keeps her crate clean and dry. She has not had the opportunity to have accidents in the home. Her routine is consistent.
Sandi is looking for a home where one Pet Parent that is a stay-at-home parent, or one which works from home; a family that can help Sandi acclimate to her new surroundings and environment with compassion, love, and patience. Please allow 6-8 weeks for Luna to acclimate to the drastic changes in her life.
