Story
Meet Stevie, a sweet and happy 3-year-old spayed female who is looking for a home where she can thrive. Stevie is congenitally blind, with her eyes being deformed and too small, but that doesn`t stop her from being a playful and affectionate companion. She loves people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs in playgroup, where she brings joy to everyone around her. She is also crate trained and house broken. She has also been around kids and loves them. While Stevie is incredibly sweet, her blindness makes her physically vulnerable, so we’ve kept her safe in playgroup settings. She’s a gentle soul who enjoys playtime and loves the company of her fellow dog friends. However, due to her difficulty navigating in the noisy, bustling environment of the kennel, we are seeking a home that can provide her with the calm and quiet space she needs to feel secure.Stevie was originally adopted from us but was returned when she went after a small dog twice. The small dog had been barking at her, and while Stevie did react, no damage was done. Stevie`s blindness makes her more sensitive to unexpected sounds and movements, and we’re confident she would do best in a home where she can have a quiet and predictable environment. We are hoping to find a home who can help her adjust to a more peaceful setting, where she can continue to thrive and be the loving, playful dog she is. She’s a wonderful companion for the right family or individual who understands her needs. Stevie is ready to be loved and to bring joy to your home!If you think you could provide Stevie with the care and attention she needs, please consider adopting her. She`s waiting for a safe and loving environment where she can truly flourish. For more information or to even offer a foster home, please contact us. Let`s give Stevie the second chance she deserves!
