Story
Smoke was never meant to be "our" pet. She showed up at our house and was sleeping in our backyard. During a frost advisory we decided to bring her inside, and she's been with us ever since. Luckily, she was microchipped so we were able to locate her owner but he wasn't able to take her back due to his living situation. I was a Friendly Finder through Lifeline, not a person attempting to adopt. However, once I began asking them about taking her, I was informed that because of the amount of time that I've had her, that she is now my dog and they do not have any room to take her. I cannot keep her. She came fully housebroken, does not chew things up, is amazing with other dogs (dog parks), cats (fostered), and children. My kids are 11,9, and 2. Smoke is super sweet, and I'm sorry that we can't keep her but it was never supposed to last this long anyway. She is definitely a protector and lets you know about anyone around your house. She's an amazing dog, and deserves an amazing family!

Story
Hazel was a found pup in Lawrenceville GA by a group of people who took her in before heading into traffic. She was found very skinny and possibly abused in her past. But after taking her in she still has the love for humans and adores anyone that she sees. She loves the attention, kisses and treats. She is a senior dog at least 10 years old so she still has many years left to create memories with. She is potty trained well, she will let you know when she needs to go. She sleeps alot and does not bark haha, she loves her belly rubs. Hazel seems to be the kind of dog that prefers to be alone just because of her age. So if anyone is looking for just a single dog Hazel would be the one to look into.

Story
Meet Jake Jake is a handsome young mountain cur / retriever mix. Sadly, our Jake has been with us over a year now, which is way too long! Jake LOVES people. He is happiest when he can be with them. His eyes shine and he smiles. His body gets all wiggly in anticipation of pets or a game of fetch. This little guy is incredibly sweet and affectionate. Jake has a beautiful soft coat. He’s a medium size dog, currently weighing 50 pounds. He walks well on a leash. He loves playing in the yards and a containment fence will be important for him. He loves retrieving a tennis ball and would play all day if he could. He is energetic and is eager to be out and about hiking, walking, running or riding in a car. That said he has a calm and mindful demeanor. He is a super smart. He knows some basic commands and we think he is house-trained. Jake is looking for his special person or family to bond with. This young handsome doggo is amazing and deserves a second chance at a loving life. Jake will thrive in a home environment. The quiet and consistency of a real home will do wonders for him. Jake does not like other dogs or kitties though, so will need to be an only pet. Sweet baby that needs a loving home who can dedicate more time and attention to her. She is hyper and very excitable so lots of activity is a must, but she will also be the best snuggle buddy you’ve had. Best of both worlds :).
