Story
Hazel was a found pup in Lawrenceville GA by a group of people who took her in before heading into traffic. She was found very skinny and possibly abused in her past. But after taking her in she still has the love for humans and adores anyone that she sees. She loves the attention, kisses and treats. She is a senior dog at least 10 years old so she still has many years left to create memories with. She is potty trained well, she will let you know when she needs to go. She sleeps alot and does not bark haha, she loves her belly rubs. Hazel seems to be the kind of dog that prefers to be alone just because of her age. So if anyone is looking for just a single dog Hazel would be the one to look into.

Story
Smoke was never meant to be "our" pet. She showed up at our house and was sleeping in our backyard. During a frost advisory we decided to bring her inside, and she's been with us ever since. Luckily, she was microchipped so we were able to locate her owner but he wasn't able to take her back due to his living situation. I was a Friendly Finder through Lifeline, not a person attempting to adopt. However, once I began asking them about taking her, I was informed that because of the amount of time that I've had her, that she is now my dog and they do not have any room to take her. I cannot keep her. She came fully housebroken, does not chew things up, is amazing with other dogs (dog parks), cats (fostered), and children. My kids are 11,9, and 2. Smoke is super sweet, and I'm sorry that we can't keep her but it was never supposed to last this long anyway. She is definitely a protector and lets you know about anyone around your house. She's an amazing dog, and deserves an amazing family!

Sweet baby that needs a loving home who can dedicate more time and attention to her. She is hyper and very excitable so lots of activity is a must, but she will also be the best snuggle buddy you’ve had. Best of both worlds :).

Story
Randy: Meet our sweet, playful Red Nosed Randy! When Randy was found wandering, he had what appeared to be a severe abrasion on his nose. It turns out that it was not an injury, but a skin condition. With the help of our vet Randy’s nose has healed but he doesn’t seem to want his fur to grow back! We think he likes being a little different! Randy loves to play and can be a bit rowdy, but with a proper introduction, and patience, he might have fun with another dog. Cats on the other hand should probably stay away! This boy is goofy, fun, and very athletic. If you are interested in a younger dog, who appears to be housebroken (he doesn’t soil his kennel), and is ready to play, come meet Red Nosed Randy. All BCAR dogs are placed as indoor family pets. No electric fences, please. Visit pets every Saturday 11:00 am to 2:00 pm (706-268-1346) or visit our website for adoption information at www.bigcanoeanimalrescue.org

Story
Hi! My name is Marie and I am looking for a forever home! I need to be the only dog in the house since I don't get along with other animals. I'm a big girl so I would love a huge back yard to run around in. I love treats and I love to play! My favorite types of toys are anything that squeaks. Fetch and tag are also some of my favorite games to play with you! I am a sweet girl but I do get scared sometimes, especially with storms! I love belly rubs and I love to swim!

Gala is a happy, outgoing girl who would be a great addition to your family. She's a strong and healthy girl with lots of love to give.
