You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact Beth (beth.lemmerman@gmail.com) for more information about this pet. Online Adoption Application › Sweets came into our care on July 1st with her littermates and is ready to find her forever home.  Sweets loves chew toys, especially sticks, and dragging around the biggest stuffy she can find.  At 8 weeks old she weighed between 9 and 9.5 lbs. At 12 weeks old she was about 20lbs. Our best GUESS is full grown she may be somewhere between 50 and 70lbs.  She is working on housebreaking and doing well with crate training, and we are starting on basic commands, "sit" and "come". She is being socialized with other dogs and cats. She is still a rambunctious happy puppy.  She is microchipped has had 3 rounds of DAPPV and 1 round of Bordetella. She is up to date on preventatives. She will need to go home on a spay / neuter deposit.    CARE's adoption fee is $250 for dogs/puppies and an additional $150 neuter deposit will be required for any animals adopted prior to their spay/neuter surgery (and the deposit will be refunded when proof of surgery has been submitted). All CARE animals arrive in their forever homes current on age appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, as well as microchipped. Breed and adult size are best guesses.    CARE is an all-volunteer and foster-based rescue organization. We do not have a shelter facility and do not have any employees monitoring inbound applications and emails. Applications are reviewed by each animal’s volunteer foster home. It may be several days before you hear from this animal’s foster home. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Online Adoption Application › Spunky came into our care on July 1st with her littermates and is ready to find her forever home.  Spunky is super sweet and playful. She is doing well working on housebreaking for her age and we have started to work on crate training.  The breed is a best guess on these pups as they were turned into a shelter as strays. From what we can guess by their weight and growth they will be large dogs maybe somewhere in the ~50-70lbs range. Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Aspen is a sweet intelligent guy with some allergies that are controlled simply by diet. Aspen was adopted in 12/17 and returned 3/19 for a behavior change. Once back with us I reviewed all of his veterinary records from while he was in the home, the reasons he was seen and the multitude of times the family had boarded him in the short period he was with them. That explained a lot to me about this "behavior change". We put him on a special diet for allergies and have provided a stable environment for him, Aspen has been nothing but wonderful here just as he was in his foster home prior to the adoption in 12/17. He's a great dog, comical, loves to play, loves water and needs a "forever" home with out children, female canine companion only. We require   that you have a fenced in yard, not a "kennel" in the yard AND we do not approve underground fencing. Depending upon the dog some exceptions are made for those who live in apartments.   We also require that the adoptee will be a part of the family "living" within the home. Our adoption process may be found on our website at www.bitofheaven.org Visits are scheduled by appointment only via emailing request to ownedbycaninesandlovit@yahoo.com   August 10, 2024, 1:13 pm
